It's a beautiful hotel and very clean. I only gave 4 stars because the hit tubs, while situated in a gorgeous view, they were tepid water at best. The restaurant food was very good and again as a very tough critic, only 4 stars. Breakfast wasn't appealing to us so we skipped it. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great bar and bar food.

Amazing hotel and a truly unforgettable experience. Beautiful Nordic design with large windows and spectacular views. The food is excellent, and having the hot tub and sauna available after a day of exploring Iceland was perfect. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. One of the highlights of our trip!

Exceptional luxury, incredible breakfast selection, and perfect location! We had a phenomenal stay at Hótel Jökulsárlón. The property is modern, sleek, and very comfortable. We had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant, but the absolute standout was the morning breakfast buffet—the selection was massive, fresh, and the perfect way to fuel up before heading out early to watch the icebergs float by at the nearby lagoon. The hotel features an excellent wellness setup with a sauna and outdoor hot tubs; though we didn’t end up using them because we saved our soaking for the Earth Lagoon, they looked great. Excellent hospitality!

This property was exceptional. Beautiful room and bathroom. Abundant third-spaces throughout the hotel. Lovely bar, delightful hot tubs and sauna. Glacier views. Quiet, high-end, and well trained staff. Restaurant was good, but not great, but the wine was excellent. I would absolutely stay again.

Book with extreme confidence! This gem is high-end luxury for Iceland. The lobby and reception were fantastic, the staff communicate with respect and helpfulness. The rooms were very clean with super comfortable beds. It had modern tvs, excellent bathroom, and ample space. The three well maintained outdoor hottubs had views for days! Beautiful hotel in a great location. The mushroom risotto and lemon tart were both excellent. Weather can be unpredictable so plan accordingly. Limited activity options during poor weather conditions. Our glacier trip was canceled due to weather and there was literally nothing else to do besides watch TV in our room. 3 small hot tubs were full, the few small sitting areas were also occupied with other travelers trying to occupy young children, it would have been nice if extra tables could have been set up with games to allow others options to escape their rooms.

The property is located perfectly for glacier lagoon and diamond beach. The thermal spas, sauna, and view of the glacier from the property are outstanding. The restaurant is quite good and the breakfast buffet is excellent/worth the money. The bar and lounge areas are really nice/tasteful. Like most hotels in Iceland, the rooms are not air conditioned...so the room was very hot in early September. They offered us a fan. The rooms are very small. You are paying for the amenities and proximity in my opinion!

The Glacier lagoon hotel has got all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel with gorgeous views and friendly staff. The hot tub with mountain views is indeed the highlight. The restaurant had a good breakfast spread and dinner menu had vegetarian options as well. We loved the stay and would highly recommend.
