Liked: Cleanliness
Really decent place, especially for the price. Very cut-and-dry self check-in kind of place. It’s in a good central location and only a few minutes away from Bus Stop 6. I did read other reviews that there were issues with the check in codes and noise from the bar, but I didn’t experience either of these problems.
If you don’t need a ton of amenities, I recommend it.
Overall, the property was great if you don’t mind being by loud bars and sleeping in warmer temperatures (air circulation was poor). The room was clean, spacious, and in very walkable area!
Easy to walk to and from bys station.
Very close to the central pedestrian walking street.

Disliked: Amenities
We booked to stay at this hotel. Then the day before we went to stay we booked our activities and bus ticket for the airport for when we left based on this location. Then we could walk everywhere. The night before we checked in they sent an email advising there was a 'water and heating issue' and moved us to an apt complex. The apt was nice - but not even close to the hotel. We then had to taxi to all our prepaid activities and bus stop - which was quite expensive. In addition check out at the apt was 10am as opposed to 11am at the hotel. So we had to stand outside longer because we booked the bus based on checkout. Highly inconvenienced!
Not a good experience. Will not recommend anyone. Staff is not accommodating. We reached one hour early after 16hours journey and asked for an hour early checkin and room was ready. They wanted to charge $45 for one extra hour. Where is customer service?
Its online check in only. So they can just answer when they are ready and not when you need them.
Water was smelling.
Bathroom was smelling.
Only location was good. Everything else was an issue.
I did not like.the self check in nor not having a front desk of any kind. It’s a good location but so what if no one is there to help you get a ride to the airport or tour pickups.
When I figured it out I found the people you called for codes into your room were very helpful.
I just do not like this system.
This location is unbeatable!! It’s in the heart of the city, walkable to all restaurants, pubs, shops, etc..
The only thing is parking (but that’s the general problem in downtown area). You have to pay parking, and in P1 zone, where the hotel is, is pretty pricey. You can walk few blocks and park in P2.
I’d def pick this hotel again. Highly recommend.
Fantastic location, right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, and a short walk from almost all the main tourist spots. It was safe, and easy to access too. The room was spacious and modern, and the shower was great! The team are very responsive- and fixed an issue as soon as I raised it.
Just as a note, downtown gets quite noisy at night. There are earplugs provided, though I didn’t mind the noise myself! No air-conditioning for the summer, but opening the window suited me fine (though it increases the noise).
