The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is perfectly located to be able to walk around the shopping and restaurant part of Reykjavik. The dormitories were perfectly adequate, though if you're not very limber, you might want to request a lower bunk and not an upper one. Bathrooms were very clean and lots of lovely hot water.

The location is very walkable. Just a few blocks from the Shore Walk and easy to get to major shops and restaurants, I found this hostel very conveniently located. I was glad to have the fast elevator with my heavy bag, and also have the ability to leave my luggage while I explored the city until I could check in. The privacy screen on my bed was great to have, especially as I was overwhelmed and exhausted, but yes, there's a lack of airflow with it down, unfortunately. Check out was the best-- I just walked out, which was soo great when you've airport-timing anxiety!

Perfect location! Five minute walk from bus stop number nine where a lot of the guided tours pick you up. 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown and to the attractions. 20 minute walk from BSI. Really clean facility and it was a quiet, respectful hostel. Full kitchen, which helped cut food costs down. Cozy bed and blackout curtains. Highly recommend! And private showers/bathroom.
