This was a very clean and cute little hotel that suited our purposes well in terms of proximity to some of the last sites that we wanted to see as well as being fairly close to the airport! The loft area was a little in the tiny side, which would be more suitable for kids.

This was a fun little hotel. The atmosphere was unique and fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was great, easy to get to everything by car. The staff was helpful and very nice. The cottage is very cute and breakfast is ok ( but no scramble eggs). Our only dislike is that the water has a sulfur smell so the room has a funky egg rotten smell after taking a shower. Also, they do not seem to fix the beds or change the towels, in Icleand unless you ask. Aside of the weird sulfur smell, it was a pleasant stay.

It is a very unique property. The sauna and hot tub were fantastic. The included breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and super helpful and went above and beyond when we needed to arrange taxis and rides. The food at the adjoining restaurant was delicious and the most reasonably priced menu we found in Iceland.

Hotel Viking is an exceptional stay. The staff at the hotel and its restaurant are absolutely the best to make the guests comfortable with an enjoyable experience. The decorations in both the hotel and the restaurant so authentic and makes one feel like walking into the past with lots of Viking artifacts. Hot tub is the only thing not working well, the water temp is not hot enough. But the bathtub in the guest room is really well-designed and works really well. Will definitely stay there on my next trip. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this property to anyone unless you’re a super budget traveller looking for an upgrade from a hostel. The rooms look to be original and it was difficult to find a wall outlet to charge a phone. I will say the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was also below expectation.
