The Keilir is a very nice family owned Hotel. It is clean, safe, has good heat and fist internet. The breakfast is simple but nice and food is fresh. I have stayed at just about every hotel in Keflavik and for my money Hotel Keilir is the best value. I've spent dozens of nights there and I always look forward to my stay.

The staff was super friendly, even changing my room so I would have a better view in case the northern lights would make an appearance! I had to be up super early for a flight so in-room coffee makers would be my suggestion. Otherwise staff gave me a complimentary transfer back to the airport, what more could I ask for?!

This hotel is good value for those making a brief stop-over in Iceland. It is conveniently located to the airport (not Reykjavík). If you are polite, the front desk will go out of their way to help and advise you. I do have a minor suggestion, though: the showers should have soap dishes.

The hotel is on Main street, so within walking distance to many things, which is nice. We had a room on the back side of the building so it was quiet other than the general noise of life. The outside of the property was deceiving, as it was under construction, but the interior was clean and updated. We had a very early flight so we did not get to experience the breakfast option. It did not have coffee or tea, which may have been an oversight.

We were directed to a restaurant down the street ( Rain) which was very good. A complimentary shuttle to and from the airport is available. Distance to Keflavík airport is about 10 minutes by car.

A small room for a solo traveler. Perfect. Water pressure was awesome in the very clean bathroom. Outside of the building is aged but inside is great. I booked because said there was a bar and restaurant. There is a small 3 seat bar area with limited drinks but the only food area was the prepaid breakfast station. Family run business that takes pride in the facility.
