This is a very clean hostel (including the shared bathroom!) in a convenient location in Reykjavik. We are a family ages 55, 54, 18, 17, and we would definitely stay again—even we parents would stay here if traveling on our own. We were very pleased and the savings allowed us a spa adventure!

I stayed in one bedroom not shared. Its clean, quiet and I like that I can lock the door when I use the bathroom. Its 3 blocks away from the church and walkable to Reykjavik downtown. Also, another reason i stayed in this hostel is that they have free parking. I would definitely stay again if given a chance i come back to Reykjavik area. Highly recommended. :D Thank you for an awesome stay that made my first trip to Iceland a memorable one. See again next time.

Be aware that there is no reception. You need to receive a sms for your room number and code that i didn't received, so you have to writd them an email. You are by yourself. No option for late checkout, they don't allow. You can leave your luggage in lockers for $20 or more depending of the size.

No reception staff. Three people approached me needing help to find their rooms. They had no emails after 1500 with the necessary info needed with room number and codes. Poor mattresses. Anytime anyone moved in bed the springs squeezed. I stayed in room 100 and around 0030 you could hear loud pounding upstairs and constant moving of what sounded like heavy chairs/furniture. The hall smells of faint sewer all the tome. Price was ok but won’t be back. Only convenience is great location.

This Hostel is walking distances from BSI that si the bus station that is where flybus from airport leaves You ando also near To all atractions. The place is very Nice decorated ando has a recepción and a restaurant tonhave breakfast. Bedrooms and shared bathrooms are un excelente conditions. I would stay there again

I stayed in a shared female dorm, I felt very safe and the other occupants were very quiet and considerate. The room could have been cleaner but it wasn't too bad. The shared bathroom was clean. Buying food out in Reykjavík is very expensive so having the communal kitchen and dining area was very handy. I'd stay here again, it's good value and very close to the centre of town. Thank you 😊

Below Average Services

Our first impression of this hostel wasn't good due to two reasons: firstly, we made our booking via Hotels.com and paid the full price before our visit. However, during our check-in, their staff said they hadn't received our payment and refused to let us check in unless we paid again. Obviously, something went wrong, but they didn't want to resolve the issue by listening to our situation. They frankly said 'they don't want to listen,' and their attitude was clearly impatient. Nevertheless, one of their members kindly checked our bank transaction (at least that made us feel they were resolving the issue). But in the end, we had to pay them twice at the hostel and spent two hours on the phone with Hotels.com customer service to request a refund. Secondly, we booked a room with a private bathroom. However, the condition and cleanliness of the private bathroom gave us a negative impression as there were male and hair residue. We didn't raise it with the staff due to our check-in issue, and we used the shared bathrooms instead. It is also worth mentioning that the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms was of a high standard, and they did apologise after we contacted Hotels.com.
