I was allowed to check in early after arriving at Keflavik in an overnight flight. I was allowed to check in as soon as I arrived - around 10:30 a.m. Extremely comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood, you can walk downtown in about 10 minutes.

We checked in late due to our travel there and the owner had everything ready with key and access to the room. We met her on the last day and she was so sweet. Beautiful accommodations like we stepped into another place, not your average hotel. Only small complaint was the sulfur smell when taking a shower and it didn’t vent well, so all steam from the shower settled on everything in the bathroom making everything wet, lol. We managed though.

Nice little place

It was very nice to have our own room and bathroom away from the main house. It made it so we could come and go as we pleased which was very important for us to see the Northern lights. There is daily housekeeping so we never had to worry about things getting very dirty. Would definitely go back here if I come back to Iceland.

A great place to stay. Super clean and very large. We had two bedrooms and a full kitchen. The heated floors in the bathroom were a wonderful surprise. Only a 10 min walk from the bus terminal. The host was very helpful. We were able to drop off our luggage pre checkin so we didn’t have to cart it around all day. Would highly recommend.

Cozy room in convenient location

Great location, close to bus terminal and downtown (there is a bit of a slope in the surrounding neighborhood if that is a concern for anyone), and also in a quiet neighborhood. There is a little bit of wear and tear from previous travelers, which is completely understandable. Overall, very comfortable and would definitely come back. Thank you!

Great studio close to city centre

Great studio flat in an excellent location just a short walk to the city centre of Reykjavik. The studio had everything we needed for our short stay, including French press, kettle, pots, pans etc. The bed was very comfy and there was loads of free parking on the street.

We stayed in a Galtafell apartment for four days (Mar 1-4). Thorey, our host, was kind and responsive. The apartment was not large, but had all we needed - two bedrooms (can arrange 4 twin beds how you want), one bathroom, small kitchen, plus a small dining area. There is no oven, but we were fine with the small stove and provided pans. The beds were very comfortable, which we appreciated after long days exploring the beautiful country of Iceland. The location was great, as well. You can easily walk into the center of Reykjavik or up to Hallgrimskirkja (huge church). All in all, the four of us (all adults) enjoyed our stay!

Noise, was right by the gate with people continuously leaving between 4:30am and 6am. Website makes it sound like you are staying in nice big old house, but are actually staying in a converted garage. On the plus side we got to check in early. Safe did not work as someone took the batteries
