Loved our stay at the Exeter Hotel in Reykjavik, comfortable bed, great breakfast, fabulous shower, good location. The staff were helpful when we asked to store luggage in a friends room until ours was available, plus they have a secure area to store luggage if you arrive early in the day as we did. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is very central. The staff is great. The rooms are clean. We added the breakfast to our stay and it was excellent. They have free luggage storage and were very helpful calling us a cab when needed which came almost immediatly.

The location was great and close to downtown shops and restaurants. The hotel entrance was shared with a bakery so you to walk through to get to the lobby that was interesting. Our rooms were a bit dark since it the building had concert walls.

High fee for early check in, even though the room was ready. It was nice and clean, but the room was small even though I paid for an upgraded option. Luckily we were able to snag street parking right behind the hotel which was cheap until 9pm and then free overnight. The BEST thing about this stay was Deig donuts downstairs before leaving to hit the road.

I was clean and functional and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The lighting in the rooms leaves them darkish so, for instance, difficult to read the combination on a suitcase without a light. The bathroom lighting was fine. We were mainly in the room to sleep. Not much in the way of drawers but enough shelves and hangers. Great food service attached. We really liked it and were mostly there just to sleep.
