Great place to stay! The owners are in the process of renovating the space and it looks gorgeous. The location is perfect for exploring the old town, close to bus stops for tours, and taxi stands for transport to airport or cruise port, Owners were really helpful with phone calls, Getting room ready early, supplying information and directions. Would stay here again... and again!

Excellent location for tourist activity in the city. Let the staff arrange taxi pickups for you; they know the local drivers. The bathroom tap water really is cold Icelandic glacier water. No need to buy bottled water.

Great hotel with friendly staff, interesting decor, and super convenient location. The missing star is only because the common noise complaints are real, since the hotel is situated above the American Bar. But what it loses in noise it makes up for in its location, which seems like a decent trade off. Would stay here again.

Great, central location that can’t be beat by many others. The staff, along with everyone else we encountered, were very friendly and helpful. Baktus the cat was an extra cute amenity, and we loved trying to find him as he migrated from the hotel to shops around the area throughout the day as a little animal celebrity :) The bed was not very large, but the room was comfortable and clean. That being said, the street could be quite loud, even to 3 in the morning, so light sleepers might need earplugs (we were on the top floor). Would certainly stay again though!
