Older rooms and not terribly quiet between rooms but great to have access to a kitchen to make breakfast or lunch. Nice walkable location and bus stop right out front. Overall, pleased with stay.

Great location. We had a studio, so we had a private bathroom, which was small but adequate. It slept 4, which worked well for our family. It would have been great to have blackout curtains on the windows since the sun never set.

Great location and cozy nice place to stay

Can't beat the location. Bus stop 2 is right out front. Comfortable, very clean rooms. Great full kitchen downstairs with many tables and chairs. Fun talking to other travelers while in this common area. Shared bathrooms were always available, never had to wait to use one and always kept clean.

Central Guesthouse is just around the block from the bus, making it very easy to get around downtown and to excursion (and airporr) connections. We were a bit apprehensive about the shared bathrooms but this was not a problem at all. Our room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the park and pond.

Room with a view

Great set up with nice common areas- kitchen... We didn't see anyone. Key to our room was hanging in the entryway. It would help in finding this place if there was a sign outside. 😊

It was very well set up with a full and large kitchen / dining room for guests to prepare their own food. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. One shared bathroom per floor worked fairly well. Shame there was not a separate toilet tho. Room was neat snd well decorated bed and bedding was amazingly comfortable . Narrow stairs up to bedrooms and down to kitchen were challenging for a 70 plus body . My early checkin was accommodated at no extra charge

Too few bathrooms. In the morning and evening it was hard to find a vacant toilet. Also, the toilet paper ran out. There were supposed to be free parking but when asking the staff we were directed to somewhere far away if wanting free parking. Everything else was great: the location, the kitchen and common rooms and the bedrooms.

Great deal for a great location/spacious studios

After reading so many negative reviews, I was afraid that our keys wouldn't be waiting for us or that there would be bed bugs. None of that happened and we loved the place! Just as described in the email, we used the access code to get into the lobby, and our keys were there waiting for us with our names on them. It took us a few minutes to find the doors to our studios, but we found them and they were quite spacious, with 4 twin beds and a kitchen and a bathroom in each studio. It would have been preferable to have someone there to greet us and check us in, but that's probably why the price for these studios was so reasonable. The location is right in the middle of numerous nice restaurants and bars. I highly recommend!

This was the worst guesthouse we have ever been to, the radiator came out from the wall and the water was leaking everywhere. We have no place to put our luggages and we could not contact the owner. There were wet blankets on the floor when we checked in, so obviously the owner knew there was a leakage in our room before we arrived, but he/she did not inform us. This was very irresponsible. We had pension-age people and young children in our group, so the wet vinyl floor was highly dangerous, someone might have slipped and could have gotten injured. We tried to contact the owner but without any success. Besides, the kitchen and bathroom were very dirty.

Location was good but stay was okay

Location of guest house is in heart of city. Everything is nearby. Guesthouse was clean and as per description but there is no front desk and no one answer your call from night 9 pm to morning 10 pm even if you get into emergency or get stuck outside of guest house. There were couple of false advertisement like free parking and laundry. They didn’t specify that Free parking is available on street for a certain period and laundry is paid for around $25. I wish they have better communication way during night as tourist will come from another country or another city . They look forward for some assistance if they need it. I called them multiple times during for some minor assistance but no one answered until 10:30 am next morning .

While it was disclosed that there is no front desk, the property owner committed to send entry code and instructions for self check in prior to arrival. Despite email requests and Expedia intervention, that never happened and we had to find our way in with another couple who had the code. Not communicating at all is unacceptable as it leaves travelers stranded and unable to get into their room. Once we got into our room, there were some issues. The baseboard was separated from the wall with a nail sticking out. Next, the doorknob came off when entering the side room. The blinders are bent and wouldn’t go up and down. The pipes in the shower came apart once turned on and required you to reattach pipes while showering and naked. Finally, the beds were so soft that we both sunk into a cavern of foam in the middle of the bed by morning. While we knew this wasn’t the Four Seasons going in, there were just too many things wrong with the checkin process and overall condition of the property to rate it any higher.

Centrally located, easy to walk to the centre of town. Despite this, it is remarkably quiet. Clean. Room was very clean and bright. This hostel is located in an older building - the rooms were great, the kitchen and bathrooms need some updating. The bathrooms were a little musty and toilets were coming to the end of their life. Kitchen microwave is old and slow.

Oveall good place for our family of 4 with good beds and ammenities. Sound proofing wasnt great as street noise was quite loud. When i tried to use the stovetop the power went out due to a vlown breaker, forcing me to use the shared kitchen vs the private one in our suite (after i found the breaker box and reset it), so that was inconvenient.
