I spoke for hours with a young man forced to stay in lesser accommodation for monetary reasons. I can say unequivocally, I am so happy I chose to stay elsewhere. The website makes it sound very reasonable and fully staffed 24/7. The truth is it's horrible and it's a remotely managed place. Good luck getting help in any time at all. Stay away if you can. Shame on EXPEDIA for there part in this dump of a ripoff.

Room was clean and simple, no complaints. There is no staff on site and no wifi till you get inside, so we had to get assistance from the store below. She was very kind and helpful, it seems she does this alot. I would definitely stay here again. Everything you need for a short stay. Very nice.

There was no hotel sign board visible from the road had hard time finding it. We asked people to find the exact location. There was no lift, carrying luggage through stairs was hard. It took time to figure out to contact someone to get into the building and room.

There was not a staff available. Their ad on the website told of an airport shuttle to the hotel which was 1000% bogus. Horrible customer service. The shower reeked of sulphur. There was only one light in the bedroom, a bedside lamp as the wall sconce did not have a lightbulb in it.

This hotel is unmanned with no lobby and everything managed by a code. This was fine with me. Hotel was very quiet, bed is comfortable and the bathroom perfect. I chose this hotel because the tour companies picked up and dropped off here. The entrance keypad malfunctioned a couple of times until it finally gave up and I was locked outside at midnight in the cold for 3 hours. I contacted the hotel via the emergency phone number at the very beginning but it took them quite a while to respond. They sent a locksmith who opened the door and then changed the keypad the next day. I also sent them a message via the Expedia app. The hotel is yet to acknowledge my message or to apologise. If the hotel is being managed remotely then they should accept other communications methods such as Whatsapp so that any concerns can be easily logged rather that waiting 15 minutes until the "emergency" number answers.

Terrible washroom layout. Everything gets soaked including the toilet. Need to request cleaning in advance and early check in also costs extra. Sketchy location as well. The power also goes off if you plug in too many devices. Poor lighting in the room. Overall, would not recommend unless you’re on a tight budget. Parking is the only perk.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. No lift- too many stairs. Entrance was dirty with lots of cigarette butts. No staff on site- my travel partners couldn’t stay in there room because of a heater maul function- too much heat- like an oven. Management was no help and so friends had to stay elsewhere! My expectations were different based on website,didn’t expect to be in a business area with no services.

Uninhabitable due to 90 degrees F temp due to broken thermostat. There is no staff on site only a call center. No one ever came to fix the problem and we were left scrambling looking for a hotel room at night in a foreign country two nights in a row. It was stressful, inconvenient and very expensive as hotels were booked. The property was dirty. Do not recommend to anyone.

This is an ok hotel if you're on a tight budget. When we arrived, our code didn't work, so we had to call and email the staff to get that sorted out. The bed was a king size and was comfortable. I've been asked to review breakfast, but we weren't told about any breakfast at this hotel. Be advised: there is no elevator, which was fine for us, but we weren't aware of that beforehand. The hotel is far from downtown, and in an area that doesn't offer much for travellers. The entryway is unassuming/offputting and smells strongly of cigarettes. The vending machine on the first landing is broken, with the glass smashed out. There are still shards of glass in the machine. The hallways were filthy. The room had an oven and a fridge. There is shampoo and conditioner provided. The shower is open style and elevated above the rest of the floor, so the water cascades down around the toilet and onto the carpet in the main area. The sofa bed for our son was actually just an L shaped sofa. The sofa was covered in stains from extensive previous liquid spills of some variety. I wouldn't sit on that sofa, never mind sleep on it. A duvet and pillows were provided but no sheet. When I called the staff, they directed me to go get bedding out of a bureau in the hall. It was empty except for some toilet paper and a duvet cover. They told me to use the duvet cover as a sheet.

The property is located outside of central Reykiavic. There is a nearby Netto grocery store. Most importantly, there are no parking cameras or fees. The description of dedicated parking lots in front or behind the hotel is not accurate. There are a handful of shared public parking spaces in front of the hotel. Rooms facing the front of the hotel bake in all day summer sun. Walking into one of these rooms feels like walking into an oven. There is no air conditioning. Just lucky, there was a cleaner present and he gave us 2 fans to use. This made a huge difference. There's nothing of tourist interest nearby. It's industrial and retail. The hotel is not staffed. No reception desk. Self-service. No room cleaning, unless you pay an additional fee. The entry door is heavy and slams loudly, shaking the building. Rooms near that end of the building will hear and feel it. There is no elevator. There is a vending machine in the stairway, though it was vandalized and the broken glass remained on the shelves and around the machine for the duration of our stay. The shower was excellent. Plenty of hot water. Hard to get that wrong in volcanic Iceland. The bathroom sink was wrong. Tiny and narrow. No way to wash hands without splashing on the floor. Highlights: it's cheap for Iceland, and a reprieve from the heavy and intricate parking dance more central places. Big plus, bathrooms are in the rooms--none of the issues of shared bathrooms that most guesthouses have.

Nice, renovated hotel. Hotel is staff less and door codes were supposed to emailed 24 hours ahead. None were emailed until I reached out about them. No elevator or help to carry luggage up 2 flights. Paid for late check-out but housekeeping not informed of this, so they came in as I was partially undressed, about to take a shower. It was not his fault, though it appears communication is not very good at this hotel. The information of late check-out should have been immediately informed to the housekeeper.
