This apartment was perfect for a 4 day visit to Reykjavík. It’s in a great location, 2 min walk to a grocery store (Bonus) and Main Street with shops and restaurants. Quick walk to the main church and rainbow street and 5 min walk to a main road with two bus stop pick ups for airport, blue lagoon and all excursions. The apartment has a mini fridge, hot plate and everything you need. Also very warm and the twin apartment has a balcony. Would stay here again and recommend. Easy check in and out as well!

Everything was great! Our one bedroom had a very nice kitchen fully supplied with utensils, cookware and dishes. Everything was nit clean and well organized. The information was well prepared. The location is perfect: right next to restaurants and city attractions. The heat was easy to control. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything put together, Alfreds Apartment was truly one of the best bookings we stayed in.

This place is a little gem. It’s within walking distance of most of the places you will want to go and close to bus stops for transportation for tours and transfers. The host greeted us and helped us to navigate the area. I would stay here again and highly recommend giving it a try!

Nice clean apartment that was fully furnished. Initially had issues with the locks but the owner was onsight and quickly addressed the issue. Also great location as it is in the central part of the city and within walking distance to all the major attractions.

Perfect spot in the heart of Reykjavik. Great coffee shop right across the street. Walking distance to many of the city sites. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Very reasonable price, SUPER comfy beds, and the most ideal location in downtown Reykjavik. The best fish and chips (Reykjavik Chips) across the road, divine bakery (Braed & co), restaurants (Rok) and bars (Dillon’s whiskey house) all within 5 minutes walking. And our host was so sweet! Would 12/10 recommend staying here for optimal convenience, comfort and budget.

The host Aldo is very friendly. It’s a bonus to have a mini kitchen since we stayed 7 days and dining out daily can be expensive esp in Iceland. The shopping district is just a minute away. The grocery store is so close. I love that we are located at the main hub, it’s accessible to everything. It’s also walkable to the bus tours stop.

The apartment is very clean, simple but functional. Beds were comfortable. Its right next door to the main shopping street and only a block away from a Bonus supermarket. Word of caution for those who wish to use the laundry facility, there is only one washer/dryer to be shared among all abd must be completed by 8pm so if doing laundry is not important, this is perfect but for us, it was semi so it was a bit of a hassle to be done in time.

Wonderful experience! This is my second time staying at one of Alfred's properties. The units are well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. Communication with owner/manager is excellent and very responsive. The location could not be better. Close to fancy restaurants as well as casual places. Reykjavik's best coffee and bakeries are within two blocks. Shopping at Bonus and Kronan are also super convenient. The only area for improvement is that black out curtains/shades could be more effective.
