The hotel is the perfect location for walking around the city center and is a 5-minute walk to a pick-up/drop-off location for local tours. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean and larger than expected.

The location could not be beat and the staff were so kind! The amenities are fantastic and the prices are good for the area. The room was slightly tired and the mattresses were a little old-fashioned, but still comfortable. It’s not a luxury place, but it is definitely a nice place for the price, and again the location is exceptional.

Loved everything about it - location, restaurant, clean etc but didn’t give it 5 stars because the bathroom sink was too small to wash your face without getting water all over the floor. The faucet extended right into the middle of the sink, maybe a bit past even.

The Alda Hotel was fantastic! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and someone came by to clean up every day. The hotel breakfast was outstanding- a great way to get ready for a day of adventure!! And the gym and sauna were very nice. We found street parking within a block of the hotel every night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Reykjavik!!
