Very quiet and quaint village. I would stay here again.Having coffee on the balcony right beside a mountain was the perfect setting. The most incredible restaurant right down the road was a plus.

Absolutely the best place we stayed over the last 3.5 weeks. The location is a little isolated but the setting was totally amazing. It was a short drive to great restaurants and the castles Just a very great experience

Excellent common area where we played cards in the evening with a self serve bar. There is sufficient breakfast with coffee, cereal and yogurt. The setting is gorgeous and rustic while being close to the castles. Must have a car!

Relaxing Stay

The location is an easy 12 minutes from Castle Neuschwanstein. The rooms were large, clean, and had a great comfortable feel. There was a light breakfast available. The self-check in was very easy. There's not much in the immediate vicinity but plenty of shopping and food options just a short drive away.

Nice room in a small farming community

This was a smaller hotel room in a small farming community. Although small, it was perfect for us. The balcony was nice and the roof overhang covers it so that the rain didn’t bother us. We didn’t stay for breakfast but it’s basically yogurt and granola. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. There is a nice town about 10 minutes away with stores and restaurants as well.

We loved our stay at this beautiful quaint hotel in Pinswang, Austria!There were 4 of us so we got a quad room that slept four. It was very clean and it had everything we needed. The only downside is we got in late and had to be up early to go to Neuschwanstein Castle. It is close to the castles, about a 15 minute drive. They were wonderful to work with and the check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. I hope to come back some time soon! Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Typical Austrian Tyrol pension

A simple but clean pension in a rural area. After booking you are provided with a code to a lockbox which contains your room key. Breakfast of tea/coffee, cereals & yoghurt is included in the price. There isn’t anywhere for dinner in the village however they provide several restaurant recommendations which are 5-10 minute drive away. It is well-located to visit neuschwanstein castle and the highline bridge and it appears to be a popular place to stay as it was full when we were there.

This hotel is listed in Expedia as "Alpenmotel Sauling". The hardest part was finding it. We followed Google Maps to the location but could not find "Alpenmotel" on any building or sign. We went up and down the streets. We finally found "Sauling" and found a self service set of boxes on the outside. We found our name and the keys. There was a building (house) number but no map. Our room was not in the building we found. So we walked up and down the street to find the house number and then we got in. A map by the self check-in would be very helpful! Breakfast was included and good. Checkout was easy. We are becoming less and less fans of "self service" hotels because there is always something the owner knows but forgets new people don't understand.

They send an email with the code to a box with the key that is located outside of the building. Even though I sent a message asking for the check in instructions in advance, I didn't receive this email prior to leaving the hotel I stayed in the previous night. Thankfully a fellow hotel guest was coming out of the hotel and was able to help me obtain the wifi code so I could check my email when I arrived. The cell signal at the hotel was not strong enough for me to open my email. Once I got my key the hotel was clean. It was warm with no AC. The body wash/shampoo was almost empty upon our arrival and one of us had to use the hand soap. When we departed there was free coffee/tea/and cold cereal available complimentary which was a nice surprise.

Highly recommend staying here! My only complaint is we did not stay another night to enjoy it more. The room was very cute and the views were breathtaking. We got the room with a private balcony and it did not dissapoint! The furnishings were lovely. We did the self-check in. Everything was detailed with parking map and images for the key boxes that made it a breeze to get to our lovely room. Location was fabulous with cows and quaint town to walk in. If you go out early enough you can see the li also taking their cows on walks in the street.

Very dated decor. The room itself felt older than it looked in the pictures. Quite expensive for what you got. No kettle in the room to make tea or coffee...very disappointing. Breakfast was very basic... really bad coffee from a cheap coffee machine...only other items were yoghurt which was fine, and cereal which was fine...but no juices, or fruit.. very dated room for breakfast too..

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a typical small European hotel/pension. And was a different hotel experience for my family who are used to large chain hotels. This property was simple, clean and sufficient for our needs to visit a beautiful area close to the Bavarian castles. There is no air conditioning or fans in the rooms so it can be quite warm during the summer. We were able to open the windows to enjoy the breeze but there were no screens on the windows so we did have to contend with some black flies during July. The property is a short walk away from the Lech River where there is a rock beach for kids to run, skip rocks and enjoy some open space. If we ever return to the area, we will certainly consider this property again!
