Absolutely the best place we stayed over the last 3.5 weeks. The location is a little isolated but the setting was totally amazing. It was a short drive to great restaurants and the castles
Just a very great experience
Excellent common area where we played cards in the evening with a self serve bar. There is sufficient breakfast with coffee, cereal and yogurt. The setting is gorgeous and rustic while being close to the castles. Must have a car!
Great and peaceful environment. Very friendly check in and out service. The breakfast option is good and enough and taste very healthy. Deserve good rating!
Quickly sent instructions on self check in right after booking. Was very convenient to be able to arrive whenever we wanted. Located in a small, quiet village. Nice place.
The location is an easy 12 minutes from Castle Neuschwanstein. The rooms were large, clean, and had a great comfortable feel. There was a light breakfast available. The self-check in was very easy. There's not much in the immediate vicinity but plenty of shopping and food options just a short drive away.
This was a smaller hotel room in a small farming community. Although small, it was perfect for us. The balcony was nice and the roof overhang covers it so that the rain didn’t bother us. We didn’t stay for breakfast but it’s basically yogurt and granola. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. There is a nice town about 10 minutes away with stores and restaurants as well.

Great for a stop over, but in the middle of nowhere. Unmanned reception so make sure you have the code before you get there! Clean and tidy. Safe. Easy to find.
We loved our stay at this beautiful quaint hotel in Pinswang, Austria! There were 4 of us so we got a quad room that slept four. It was very clean and it had everything we needed. The only downside is we got in late and had to be up early to go to Neuschwanstein Castle. It is close to the castles, about a 15 minute drive. They were wonderful to work with and the check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. I hope to come back some time soon! Thank you for a pleasant experience!
A simple but clean pension in a rural area. After booking you are provided with a code to a lockbox which contains your room key. Breakfast of tea/coffee, cereals & yoghurt is included in the price. There isn’t anywhere for dinner in the village however they provide several restaurant recommendations which are 5-10 minute drive away.
It is well-located to visit neuschwanstein castle and the highline bridge and it appears to be a popular place to stay as it was full when we were there.
This hotel is listed in Expedia as "Alpenmotel Sauling". The hardest part was finding it. We followed Google Maps to the location but could not find "Alpenmotel" on any building or sign. We went up and down the streets. We finally found "Sauling" and found a self service set of boxes on the outside. We found our name and the keys. There was a building (house) number but no map. Our room was not in the building we found. So we walked up and down the street to find the house number and then we got in. A map by the self check-in would be very helpful! Breakfast was included and good. Checkout was easy. We are becoming less and less fans of "self service" hotels because there is always something the owner knows but forgets new people don't understand.

They send an email with the code to a box with the key that is located outside of the building. Even though I sent a message asking for the check in instructions in advance, I didn't receive this email prior to leaving the hotel I stayed in the previous night. Thankfully a fellow hotel guest was coming out of the hotel and was able to help me obtain the wifi code so I could check my email when I arrived. The cell signal at the hotel was not strong enough for me to open my email. Once I got my key the hotel was clean. It was warm with no AC. The body wash/shampoo was almost empty upon our arrival and one of us had to use the hand soap. When we departed there was free coffee/tea/and cold cereal available complimentary which was a nice surprise.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a late check in, but this was very easy at this hotel. The location is perfect if you have a car and are going to Neuschwanstein. Very close to Fussen, but I’m a nice quiet town.
Wood prefer to be able to have a fan in the room or the option to rent one with a security deposit.
Lack of an elevator was a surprise and was difficult for me with a heart condition. The man at the desk was awesome reserving us taxi cabs a day in advance.
This is such a cute hotel set in the Alps. The service was great and the location was just wonderful and set off of the beaten path. There were plenty of restaurants, but a bit further from the hotel. We found one on 10 minutes away and it was some of the best food we've eaten.
The breakfast was unbelievable and had plenty to choose from. We could have sat there for hours enjoying the location. Thanks for a great stay!

Disappointing
Not a hotel, more a guesthouse. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room nor a fridge. The bed was too soft for my wife but I slept well. Was sure check out was 11 but turned out to be 9am! We asked for an extra hour and we’re charged €16 for the privilege. Said breakfast included. This turned out to be tea, coffee, cereal. Not worth €104 in our opinion.
