This was the perfect location , just across the beach with all the amenities needed close by including food, restaurants and markets down the street 10 to 15 minute walk to everything. Hotel was fantastic, especially made our 30th wedding anniversary a special night by decorating our table and making it a memorable evening and fantastic service by Toula and Vassilis ♥️ Food was superb including a large selection for breakfast.

Excellent hotel , four of us enjoyed an extremely pleasant seven days at the Aquila Porto. We had sixth floor beach-facing rooms - the rooms were a good size, bathroom was clean, air-conditioning a god-send, very quiet and easy to sleep at night. The beach across the road is well-kept, no problem securing sun loungers. Sea can be a bit choppy but that's not the hotel's fault! The Aquila Porto's two main selling points are (1) the food. Its not the largest buffet we'd ever seen but its by far/away the best. Great variety, all beautifully cooked, a real pleasure (2) the staff. all are extremely helpful and accommodating, service is first class. No real gripes at all - breakfast can get a bit busy, and the coffee maybe could be better, but overall a definite five star, ten out of ten experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent place. Great location, walking convenience to everything needed for the nice vacation. Beach, water activities like paragliding and jetski, dining, bars, tours, old town, shopping, etc. The hotel itself is well maintained, great service and useful amenities at the hotel itself, like pools, deck, spa, dining and cafe. Will consider staying there again.

Had a great stay here! I have stayed here before and probably will again. The breakfast is exceptionally good and all else is great but two minor inconveniences: the gym could be open maybe an hour or two more (today it closes at 6 pm) and there aren't that many sunbeds at the hotel main pool (but I mostly used the beach anyways which is right outside of the hotel) and the

Very nice hotel

We were very satisfied with the hotel. We also received an upgrade to the Penthouse, which was very good. In addition we had another room on the top floor directly to the beach. The hotel provided lots of complementary drinks, fruit and sweets in both rooms. Only negative was two of the staff in the breakfast room. They looked like they had very bad days at work, not friendly service at all.

Location and facilities were great although quite noisy at times. Staff were all lovely and willing to help in any way they could. Staff came to the beach a few days giving watermelon and drinks to everyone that wanted it which was a nice touch. Rooms were good but not 5 star with broken tiles and room cleaning was erratic ( some items replaced some days and not others)

Really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel and room was immaculate condition. Shame the pool was a bit too cold at end of October but made use of the warm indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast had a great choice and staff could not have been more friendly. Highly recommend. Only downfall was our room was supposed to be full sea view but more like partial sea view from first floor as part of hotel building blocked the majority of the sea view from our balcony.

Could be better for a 5-star resort

Overall aan excellent stay. Quite impeccable. Two things however for a 5-star hotel, there should be parking facilities options. We are left own our own. Options could include an underground garage, possibly off valet parking (with a fee) or at the very least, clear indications with maps of the locations of paid parking lots. Second thing, again a 5-star hotel should have either freshly squeezed orange juice or at least pitchers of none-concentrated OJ. Certainly not pale OJ from a fountain dispenser.

Das Hotel liegt traumhaft und bietet ein wunderbares Frühstück an. Dennoch würde ich es höchstens als 3-Sterne-Haus einschätzen. Es ist doch sehr in die Jahre gekommen, die Wände sind sehr dünn. Ich würde von einem 5-Sterne-Haus zumindest erwarten, dass man als Gast tagsüber mit Gratis-Wasser versorgt wird. Und dass die Strandliegen wenigstens irgend eine Art von Polsterung haben. Auch auf das „Abendprogramm“ könnte ich persönlich verzichten. Alles in allem hatte ich eine wunderbare Zeit auf Kreta, ich bin jedoch nicht sicher, ob ich dieses Hotel noch einmal wählen würde.

Unieke ligging langs de boulevard en op 500m van het oude centrum met winkeltjes, bars en restaurantjes. De kamers met zeezicht zijn top. Kamers met zijzeezicht zijn goed tot op de 4de verdieping. Hoger gelegen kamers hebben ook wel het uitzicht naar zee, maar kijken ook uit over de daken van de gebouwen ertegenover. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Lekker en gevarieerd eten en zeer leuk à la carte-restaurant waar je iedere dag kan reserveren. Het strand ligt tegenover het hotel en heeft (in juni) zeker genoeg ligzetels. Aan de zwembaden van het hotel wordt je verwittigd als je meer dan een half uur weg bent en je handdoek laat liggen. Ook pas toegankelijk vanaf 9u.
