Lovely setting but no one there to give us the key even though we’d sent 2 emails requesting info regarding collection with time of arrival. Noise from 9pm TIL 4am so couldn’t sleep. Dog faeces on paths. Toilet broken. No microwave. Needs updating and cleaning of the shower room. Lounge and bedroom roomy and comfortable.

Lack of Check In Details.

We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. We did manage to find a mobile number for the host but by then it was too late as we had to make alternative arrangements due to a wedding we were attending.

Don’t do it!

We did not stay. The room was upstairs and we had to go through a really trashy yard to get to it. It was cold and the heaters didn’t work, smelt like mildew and the bathroom was a disaster! We let and found appropriate accommodations! I can’t believe they would consider renting the place! We had to travel down a one way road to get to the place and the gate was closed. The neighbor sent us another way and the grounds were beautiful but the place was totally trashed. There was nobody there to check us in or tell us where we were staying so we called a number of times and left emails to no avail. About two hours later someone who was not even the contact person showed up and showed us the room. She has to remote an old potted (fake) tree aside for us to go up the stairs! It was remote and creepy! No thanks!

hidden treasure

a most stunning location and ideal for weddings/family celebrations etc etc. Fantastic for kids as lots for them to play on especially the beautiful shallow stream that runs through the grounds

The Old Vicarage

Brilliant location and the hosts were fantastic. Really friendly and nothing was too much trouble if you asked. The cave bar is a hidden gem
