Lovely property in the historic centre of Reggio Emilia. The staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

We were celebrating our 41st anniversary and stayed for 5 nights back on March 22, 2025, and we were pleased with the property and the location. The area is quiet at night, but it could be a little noisy early in the morning around 7 a.m. and 8am but nothing extreme. The only thing is that the hot breakfast is always cold around 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

The hotel room is very large and clean. But the cleaner has no patent we are told to leave the room because she want to clean the room. There's is no options for the cleaner that said not to disturb and the breakfast is not great. Staffs are alright.

A small town dated accommodation throughout this experience. The newest part is the gym where there are only 5 pieces of equipment with one broken during our 10-day stay. We do like old school hotels when traveling in Europe. However at Notarie, it simply needs a facelift with current style of mamagement. WiFi needs to up the game. First off, that old tapestry odor in the room needs to be eliminated. The dusts at the bathroom ceiling vent (415) needs to be removed. Toilet bowl waterstains (424). WhatsApp customer service line needs to be setup while getting rid of the in-room telephone. Stiff, old school front desk could be loosen up and be able to multitask. We did enjoy the daily fresh bedsheets and towels. Dylan at the front desk was helpful while Ro at breakfast was friendly, personal and yet professional. Brava !

Hotel Alberto Delle Notarie Staying at this hotel was like time-traveling back to the 1950s, but without any of the charm or nostalgia. The decor? Imagine a blend of baby poop yellow and a thrift shop explosion—except worse. Walking into the room felt like I was hit with the ghost of my grandma’s UTI. For the shower, you’ll want to skip leg day because standing isn’t an option; it’s more of a 'sit-and-sulk' tub experience. The elevator was broken, but hey, I got my steps in hiking to my car half a mile away. And if you enjoy pretending it’s 1995 with no WiFi, you’re in luck! All in all, a stay here will make you appreciate camping—or the nearest highway motel. As for breakfast, if you enjoy the thrill of disappointment, you’ll love showing up at 9:01 AM. By then, the ‘hot food’ was nothing but a distant memory, leaving me with a cold bagel and an existential crisis. On the bright side, the staff were friendly—probably because they don’t have to stay here. They smiled as if to say, ‘We’re sorry, too.’ Honestly, the best part of the stay was checking out… and even that took forever since the WiFi was down. Would I recommend? Only if you’ve lost a bet or want a good story to tell your therapist and forget about mom for awhile.

L’albergo è molto caratteristico, centralissimo e ben curato. Gli ambienti sono ordinati e puliti, l’aria è climatizzata quasi ovunque. La camera ed il bagno erano molto ampi, ben puliti ed i letti comodi, pavimento con parquet ben tenuto. Ottimo Hotel e ottimo soggiorno. La colazione inclusa è generosa e variegata, sia dolce che salata.
