  • Hello from Paradise! We have started our little Island Hopping Adventure in the South of Thailand. First stop: Koh Phayam. A quiet Island which still has a true 'in the middle of nowhere' feel to it. I can count the people around me in two hands. Never been to such an empty beach before. It's lovely! Also very pleased with our accommodation: open-air shower and a huge hammock big enough for two on our veranda. Just swam in the ocean for nearly an hour - the water temperature is divine!!   • Koh Phayam, #Thailand 🇹🇭 is definitely not a victim of “overtourism” - at least, not yet and not during the low season. My #travel buddy and I were there for most of a week and saw maybe five or six other tourists! Closed for the season

Closed for the season, yet failed to close their booking site.. The property did contact me though, but not before I had made the reservation and it was non-refundable, so had the hassle of asking a refund from hotels.com by mail and find new accommodation. Looked a bit worn down and the beach was quite windy with rough sea/waves.
