The stay was lovely, there are no staff on site to check in but the directions were easy to follow. Our room was great, bed was comfortable! Could hear people walking in the room above us. Breakfast was nice. The hottub wasn't hot.

Lambafell is in a beautiful location and very easy to find. Check-in was easy, and our room was very comfortable. The hot tub, which was one of the features we were most looking forward to, didn't seem to be fully working at the time. It wasn't very hot, and there were no jets.

The hotel provided key code and room assignment in advance. The breakfast was a huge surprise, Bacon, potato cakes (hash brown), coffee, this was a huge positive. The only real negative, the "hot tub". We never went in because the hot tub felt warm by touch and the air pump did not work. All the needs for a place to stay, were met, and we would recommend booking.

An amazing stay! The property itself is surrounded by mountains, that adds to the location! The common area / patio is where we spent our evening where a few other guests were hanging out as well. The set up was amazing and we enjoyed hanging out there. There is also a hot tub in the vicinity that can be enjoyed based on availability. The room was spacious enough with a big bathroom. We went in Sept and the ventilation can be a bit tricky as the heater was making our room too hot. There is no staff here, you can access your keys from

You couldn’t ask for a more scenic location for this hotel…mountains literally just outside your windows! And with the lupines in full bloom…it was breathtaking! The hot tub out back was a great way to unwind at night and breakfast had a wide variety of food offered…great start to the day!

This place had so many bad reviews that I was terrified before staying here but it was totally fine! Exactly as described. You can’t check in late and you get a code via email. I imagine some people run into trouble with that but we had no issues. It was very easy. The rooms were clean and nice. The area is scenic and the hot tub is relaxing.

Worst room I’ve ever had! The roof sloped down and a big beam cut off half the room at 4 ft high, so in order to get around the bed you had to stoop. The bathroom shower was a drop in that hadn’t been secured to any of the wall so it wobbled when you stepped in. There was a motion activated light sensor, but it was behind the door and it cut off every 30 seconds! Then when you stepped in the shower the water alternated between very hot and very cold about every 90 seconds….. so you are in the shower, cursing the temperature while the light goes on off! We managed to use my tweezers to set the light sensor to 30 minutes rather than 30 seconds but the temperature fluctuations made the shower unusable. On the plus side the hot tub was terrific and had an incredible view. We asked for a different room but were told they were fully booked.

The hotel has a lot of character. Magnificent front foor. Beautiful, picturesque location. Serves delicious hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and warm with comfy beds. We didn't receive the email with check in instructions, but luckily there was a member of staff present, who helped us out.

Property was Very clean and rooms were cosy and comfortable Check-in was not ideal. They sent an email that day itself about check-in instructions but we didn't know about it and there was no one around to help or answer questions. It was a guest who told us if we got any messages that we checked or email. Then we had issues with correcting to Wi-Fi as data reception was not great. Breakfast selection was not great. Would be great if they offered more fruit and salad.

This hotel being unstaffed is a major issue. We had Superior Room 101. The property looks amazing and the view was fantastic. Unfortunately, the room opens directly onto the communal area. Things were fine until around 19:00, when a huge group arrived having booked four rooms. They took over the communal area and started drinking and partying loudly right outside our door. Around 22:00 the Northern Lights appeared, making things even louder. We eventually walked away from the group to watch them, using a torch pointed at the ground. They actually shouted at my wife to turn it off because it was “disturbing their peace”. At 23:00 we contacted management with recordings. To their credit, someone drove over and told the group to quieten down. It lasted about 20 minutes. At 00:30 I went out myself and eventually got them to retire. Then the people above us started pacing around on incredibly creaky floorboards. Even noise-cancelling headphones couldn’t drown it out. We got about two hours’ sleep. I contacted management over a week ago about compensation. Still no response. I don’t want to be too negative. You might get lucky. You might not have a drunken party staying with you. You may not have Krakatoa exploding all night in the above rooms. You might get there and your code for the lockbox works right away. You might get there and your stay is peaceful and you don’t have to manage the other guests yourself. But for all those maybes you might as well stay somewhere else

The advertising was misleading as we spent extra so we could have a hot tub, it was cold and dirty. There is no one on site so I emailed to see if they could fix it but no one replied. The rooms were fine and clean and the location was remote and pretty. Breakfast was ok, but only a couple hot items that were almost cold.
