This property was the most tranquil stay I have ever had. I felt safe the entire time and the owner was lovely to deal with. I would like to return for a longer stay. They have everything you need too, including a hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. We cooked our Christmas dinner in the over which was fine for two people. The property was also lovely and cosy. Not cold at all.

Just an amazing spot. It is just like the pictures. Cozy, quiet and horses right outside. We were able to pick up some groceries in the nearby town and cook a nice dinner there with the well stocked kitchen. We stayed right up until checkout time because we didn’t want to leave. It was a perfect place to spend our last night in Iceland!

By far the most beautiful private space we stayed in while in Iceland. It is very secluded, quiet and the unassuming exterior conceals an interior that will take your breath away. The price seemed a bit high when we booked it, but after experiencing it first hand I feel it was worth every krona and then some. I would love to have stayed a few days so I could really soak in the farm and become even better friends with the resident ponies! It was everything I was hoping it would be!

Our stay at Jakob’s Old Farmhouse was truly unforgettable. What they’ve done with the old farmhouse is absolutely stunning—the blend of rustic charm and modern comfort created such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail felt thoughtful and authentic, and it was clear a lot of care went into preserving the farmhouse’s character. One of the highlights was being able to interact with the horses on the property. It added such a peaceful, magical touch to the experience and made us feel even more connected to the beautiful Icelandic countryside. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Next time, we’ll definitely plan for an extended visit. Highly recommend this unique and charming stay to anyone looking for a memorable experience off the beaten path.

Mitten in der Pferdefarm ein echtes Highlight!!! Blick auf die Vestmanneyjar-Inseln und absolut ruhig gelegen. Sehr liebevolle und geschmackvolle Einrichtung, die Küche bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt - vor allem Salz ;-). Absolute Empfehlung!!!
