The cottage has just about everything you need in the kitchen which was super helpful for us. The place was very clean and quiet. Check in and check out are easy, self service. We would stay here again and for longer. The property itself was on a beautiful piece of land, we enjoyed a great sunset and tried to see northern lights but it was cloudy.

This property was excellent, clean, quiet, beautiful location and ideal for us to explore the south coast. The hosts were very responsive. Beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated the extra touches of having cooking oil, two different options for coffee, extra towels, salt and pepper and shampoo and body wash in the bathroom. Highly recommend and if ever back to beautiful Iceland this is where we will stay. Thanks again for having us.

We had some glitches with Expedia and communication which affected our length of stay. We won't work with Expedia again but the cottage and owners were phenomenal! We actually put our excursions on hold to spend more time at the cottage. We loved all the windows, the gorgeous vistas, the serenity and modern amenities. We were soooooo comfortable and super relaxed! Loved the bed, too!

Breathtaking location, gorgeous cottage! 😍 If you want to enjoy a wonderful experience with views of the glacier and the sea (weather permitting) surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place for you💯🇮🇸 We had a fantastic time!! I’d go back there right now! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S. If the owners added a washing machine, I think there are connections for one, it would be the ultimate place🧐

Awesome Retreat...

This cottage was immaculate throughout and the setting was amazing. Located 5km off the tarmac roads the sense of isolation was unique. Views from all windows provided the entertainment and it was nice not to have a TV!!

Property felt new and modern. Furnished tastefully and well designed. It felt like a high end experience and the facilities were excellently maintained, or potentially brand new. It was honestly hard to tell since it was overall just a really nice stay. My wife's theory is that they are called the Puffin Houses because they are painted to look like abstract puffins with the orange beak and black body.

This cottage is amazing and a big recommendation for anyone wanting to spend the night away from the lights of the towns. You park right next to the cottage and you look out over a large field. There is no noise as the cottages are located on a quiet road. When entering the cottage everything is modern and clean. The shower is great and the beds are very comfy. When sitting on the couch you have a great view of the area and you have everything you need for a pleasant stay. During our 10-day trip around Iceland we only spent one night here but we could easily spend multiple nights in this wonderful cottage. 10 out of 10.

This was our favourite place to stay in Iceland. The mountain views are gorgeous and the cottage is new, modern, beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. We wished we could stay longer! We were nervous booking this because there were only a few reviews but are so happy we did. We also loved the quiet and seclusion while only a 15-20 min drive from Hvolsvöllur for groceries or dining out.

The had a bad communication with the Bnb. I was told my room was number 2. As soon as I arrived the room was occupied. I was waiting outside for an hour till the owner came back to guide me to the correct room. There were cottage and rooms that made me confused where to locate my place. Anyway, the owner was very nice and the location was good for first time adventurer.

Peaceful

We stayed in Cottage 1. It is brand new with very nice decor, a kitchen and large bathroom. The sofa converts to a bed, which gave our teenager her own space. The setting is remote and peaceful, and close to many waterfalls.
