Stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding. Lovely room overlooking the bay, could not fault it. Staff were very attentive, could not do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely. Food at the wedding was great. All in all, great 2 days. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Would definitely recommend.
Everywhere was very clean. The food was very good with a varied menu in the bar and restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking,
We booked 3 nights at the Pegwell and I would say it’s the best hotel in Ramsgate. From getting a nice early check in, to the delicious breakfast every thing was spot on. The walk into Ramsgate is around 40 minutes and is lovely, we found the location perfect, and very quiet. Highly recommend the hotel and Ramsgate for a weekend break.
Excellent stay. Terrific hotel - better than the hotel chains that I usually stay at but even better prices, and, in addition free breakfast included in the price.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Location and staff…a ‘hidden gem’ to use a handy cliche .
A warm welcome greeted us in reception the room was clean, tidy and fully equipped. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home, overall it was a very pleasant stay and we will certainly return.
Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. All staff were so lovely and happy and helpful. Spotlessly clean- cleaners were amazing! Didn’t book a wedding party room so mine was at the back of the hotel. The room would have been small for two people but for me, on my own, it was fine. Great ensuite. Breakfast was nice. A little bit of a continental choice and a choice from the menu of delicious hot food. I would definitely stay again but book a room with a sea view.
Breakfast was great. Hot, served fast and flexible. The staff in the restaurant were great. Compliments to the chef. The only thing we found was a difficulty with the television. You had to stand right in front of it and hold the 'on button for about 30 seconds before it would come on. Also, it was difficult to change channels, especially getting to number 1. It wiould have been nice to have instructions if that is normal and a list of channels available.
Room is a little bit small, but I was impressed that they have use water softener for bathroom. Breakfast have a menu, four choices to order . Staffs are friendly. Lots of parking spaces. Will definitely come back.
It’s a very old and unique building, the main hotel has been updated to an excellent standard, Going to the breakfast room on the -1 level, you can see photos of the area and the entrance to the breakfast room tunnels under the main load and. Has a sea front terrace on the floor and the floor above. The young staff in the complex were helpful and smart
Breakfast was, indeed excellent. The room was tiny and un-airconditioned, but the mattresses were good and the shower hot and strong in the similarly tiny bathroom.
Breakfast menu fresh and good choices. Would benefit from more disabled parking bays, and an accessible guest toilet in reception. Also our room could do with heated towel rail in bathroom as it was rather chilly in there. Otherwise lovely hotel and would definitely stay again.
Great hotel in a superb location - excellent staff. The decor is a tad dated but that didn’t effect our enjoyment at all. The location is lovely, close to Ramsgate in a lovely peaceful area. There are 2 fab pubs just over the road both with great big outdoor decks where you sit and enjoy the fabulous sunsets. Great value with breakfast included - highly recommended. There is a fabulous local bus service called the Loop that runs really frequently and will take you from Ramsgate to beautiful Broadstairs and Margate very easily and runs from early morning to late at night
