The Sandman was wonderful ! The room was clean, beds and pillows comfortable, and close to shopping. The pool was welcomed since it was 30 degrees celsius while we were there. The pool was also clean, well maintained, and lots of towels.

We have stayed many times over the years at the Quesnel Sandman. We appreciate the friendliness of the front desk staff. The room this time was really nice and recently renovated. Glad we booked our stay this time again. Only possible negative was the pool and hottub. The pool was super cold (I would prefer a bit heated and the hottub smelled odd and broke down the first night we stayed and was out of order the rest of the stay but not a big deal for us.

Overall great hotel, only hotel in town that has a decent pool. The other is not well kept (downtown area), and not very clean. I highly recommend this hotel, they're friendly, and helpful staff. Only recommendation is they should offer a voucher for the Denny's Restaurant inside. Even if it's just for 5 or 10%, it should be an incentive to keep coming to the hotel.
