We had a wonderful stay at Wide Mouth Frog! The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always attentive to our needs. They made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel was very clean, and the food was delicious. We would also like to give special recognition to the hotel manager, who was exceptionally kind, and always willing to help. His hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Wide Mouth Frog was an amazing, comfortable stay in Quepos. I got the budget garden twin bed room and it was a great option! I had a comfortable bed in quiet AC, with a hot water shower and daily pool access! I only stayed for 2 nights but they felt like relaxing in a resort; it is an oasis inside the city (I stayed at a more modest guesthouse down the street for the previous 3 nights but the loud fan and no AC was destroying my sanity; in comparison, Wide Mouth Frog was a godsend). I ate the breakfast for the first morning but you can go outside the hotel across the street to Soda Sanchez for a way way way better breakfast for a cheaper price.

The hotel was great and having a pool when bored was a good bonus. Soda Sanchez is close so everyone recommends that but it’s boring. Close to bus terminal. Not much to do IN Quepos, not anything of interest that’s walkable. Dead at night.

I think this place has no fault. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, bathrooms, toilets, and showers. i did laundry as well for 8$ , clean the beds are comfortable, the room is spacious, charging outlets inside the lockers which is amazing

Great hostel - hot in a non Aircon room!

This hostel is near everything you need. ATM is two steps out the door (costs $2 to use), the swimming pool is really nice, sunloungers to use are in good condition and well placed, short walk to shops and restaurants and there's a restaurant that is attached to the hostel that does great breakfast for a good price. I would recommend paying extra for a room with air-conditioning because around day 3, I couldn't take much more of our stuffy room.

As a solo female Traveler this hostel is safe and the staff goes above and beyond should be accommodating and kind. Helen at the front desk was my Lifesaver more than once. And Henry gave me a great location to get a tattoo at an incredible rate & artistry. Laying beside the beautiful pool there are several McCalls that came and eat in the trees. It's fantastic. The cleanliness is off the charts. The safety was fantastic. Highly recommended. Highly recommended for solo female Travelers. Highly recommended for everyone.

Checkin was easy, staff was friendly and room was very clean. Simple room with a microwave and 2 beds, tidy. Balcony overlooking the pool was nice. There is coffee in the main breakfast area all day. And breakfast was very nice, with a choice of fresh made breakfast (not the standard eggs, toast, cereals that we are used to in the US). mLocation is execellent, in the heart of Quepos. You can walk to any place (not beaches of course). Dont miss the evening farmers market nearby for fresh fruits, cheese, juice, etc.

Honestly this was such a loud hotel. I’m a solo traveler and stay in hostels and this hotel was just too loud.kids yelling, music playing till 10pm and then at 6:30am the housekeeping staff would be outside talking. Not relaxing at all. Also I got breakfast the first morning it was 12$ for 2 eggs and a slice of toast.

Really nice hotel. Clean rooms, swimming pool. Recomend getting room with AC as it gets hot in Quepos. Friendly staff. Coffee and tea available 24x7. There is a kitchen with utensils if you want to cook. Good location.

Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms look new, recently renovated. There are little things that could make it even better, they didn't ask our opinion, but here they are :) The keys are the same, the big main door key didn't work and the receptionist said they are the same.. Also in the shower there was no shelf to put the soap or shampoo, and in the sink there was no plate for the soap. Also, some towels looked a bit stained. Maybe a staff member could regularly go around and check everything and test things in all the rooms... The pool is nice, and little tub too.

They are very strict about the 3pm check in time. We came in from a bus before 3pm & they weren’t pleased. We came back at 2:50pm and they told us our room might not be ready as check in is at 3pm as they turned around and grabbed the key. Our room was beyond hot. We were in a hallway with no airflow close to the kitchen and it was awful— even with the fan blowing on us the entire night. The pool made the stay!! We were in there twice a day & loved it!!!!
