The place was perfect. Close to everything. Breakfast was incredible. Staff was very helpful and there was security all night. Don’t be afraid to take the bus! It was easy and at $2 round trip, much better than driving. Animals all around the property.

Pulling up to this hotel on the street you would never guess how lovely a property it is. The rooms are huge, the view from the lanai/porch in the room towards the back of the property is beautiful, and the staff, particularly the front desk staff, are extremely warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful two night stay and would highly it recommend it to other travelers.

We stayed here for two nights and had a suite that was really very large. The room was very spacious, with a small kitchenette and even two double beds. Overall, there was plenty of space and it was very comfortable. However, the room had a slight musty smell. We couldn’t figure out exactly what caused it. Otherwise, everything was clean and the staff were very nice. We especially liked the location in the jungle. When we stepped out of the suite, we had a beautiful view of the jungle right away, which made our stay very special. The breakfast was fine.

Our room was much nicer than I had expected. The hotel overall is beautifully kept up and very clean; the staff were all friendly and helpful. And the reviews were correct that you can just sit and look out the back and see lots of birds, monkeys, etc. Not all the time, of course, but if you sit and look, they will show up. Hotel Plaza Yara exceeded my expectations. This was a last minute booking between two destinations. From the moment we stepped into reception till we left every encounter we had with the staff was gracious, helpful and filled with kindness. Our room was beautifully clean, spacious and complete with everything we could need for our stay. The breakfast choices were amazing and made to order and delicious. We were allowed to continue to use the amenities beyond our check out time which was great as we had some time to spare before leaving for our next destination. The art work on the gallery was so amazing. I would really like to bring some home with me. I haven't ruled that out as we need to pass by the hotel again on our way home. I highly recommend staying in this small and very thoughtful hotel. Pura Vida.

If you’re visiting Quepos / Manuel Antonio I highly recommend staying at Hotel Plaza Yara!! It is such a vibe and absolutely stunning; from the anterior design, the art gallery in the lobby, the pool and incredible views of the jungle that surround the hotel. I felt completely immersed in nature and saw monkeys right outside my room window!! The breakfast was delicious as well. Not to mention how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff was. This place is also about 10 minutes (via car) from the national park and has many options for good food that is not far; one night we took a taxi to dinner and the other night we were able to walk to a restaurant. I was so sad to leave this beautiful place. Pura Vida!
