Great breakfast menu selection with large portions, there’s even eggs benedict! All of the staff were amazing, we received the best service here of all the places we’ve stayed at in Costa Rica. Tours booked via the hotel were excellent and we appreciated the recourse when one of our tours did not work out. Really loved the upper sunset deck. Restaurant was decent. Fantastic hotel wit high clean rooms, lovely restaurant and the friendliest staff. The restaurant staff and the security and logistics guys were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. The macaw tour is a must do and if you want to visit the national park please book through the hotel and request Clarence- he was superb. His knowledge and enthusiasm was second to none.

Came to Costa Rica for my anniversary trip. The Hotel Gaia was a pleasant experience. Overall the staff was wonderful! Never waited for answers. They were always right there with answers. I've been in the hospitality business for 31 years so I appreciate EXCELLENT service, and that it was. The room was very nice also. The complimentary breakfast made waking up early easy. It was just a short drive away from plenty of restaurants and shopping. The hotel offered free shuttle to the nearby beach and national park which we took full advantage of. Overall, I have to say the hotel experience was wonderful!

Overall it was underwhelming. The photos make it appear much nicer than it really is. Quite rundown in areas, and virtually no frills in the bar or restaurant area. Food quality was decent - sushi was the best thing we ate. Overall it seems like it was an updated resort back in the day but has not been kept up.
