Very beautiful property with everything that you ever need. Fantastic view of the Queenstown Airport is a must-stay for aviation geeks. Even if you are not, be prepared to be stunned by the beautiful sunset.

Excellent location outside the main shopping area of Queenstown in a fairly quiet location despite the sights and sounds of planes taking off or landing nearby ! .modern ,well equipped,very clean and good value even in peak season !

The view of the hillside was beautiful and the property obviously lovingly maintained. We really enjoyed being close to Queenstown but not in it. A great two night stay.

Pretty and comfortable. Only one concern is that the cleaning staff were walking in front of our room which has large windows and this reduced our privacy at that time.

This place was super nice with all modern amenities, even air conditioning! AIR CONDITIONING!! The only concern for staying here would be that its near an airport. That wasn't an issue for the wife and I because we love planes, but the sound could be a turn off for others. Otherwise, this place is super comfortable and we stayed there multiple nights and felt right at home. This place has beautiful views and was very spacious. The shower was one of the best I had the pleasure of using in our twelve day honeymoon, staying in a new place almost every night. Stay here if you are in the area, you won't regret it!

Comfortable and spacious cottage. Modern appliances and facilities. Great that there was a kitchenette and laundry available to use. If possible, would recommend moving the microwave, it’s too high for someone short like me and not safe when taking out hot food. Beautiful views outside of the mountains. Not too far away is the lake to walk/sit along. The room was decently cleaned, however did notice a few cobwebs around the walls - only really noticeable in certain light though. One downside was the wifi that kept cutting out for me :/ Location is very close to airport so keep in mind you can hear planes flying over, if that really bothers you. Other than that, still highly recommend this cottage to stay in!

We chose to stay at the Shotover Country Cottages during our heli wedding elopement in Queenstown. We saw the pictures online and thought it looked very nice but once we actually arrived we were even more impressed and surprised at just how beautiful the surrounding scenery and the peaceful setting was! The cottages are tucked away in a quiet corner at the end of the street and have the best views of the valley in our opinion, especially with the evening sun, it is absolutely stunning. There is a ranch style feel to the cottage which makes you feel like you are in the country even though you are only a 10 minute drive from Frankton and another 10 minutes more to downtown Queenstown. Everything was very neat and clean when we arrived and well organized with every necessity you would need, including all kitchen appliances and even a washer and dryer in the bathroom. Luke, the host, was very friendly and accommodating over the phone if guests require any special requests. At the end of our heli wedding, we even chose to take some evening lighting photos in the front lawn area and family members that were visiting the main house even stopped to take some photos of us together which was so kind. The check in/check out process was super convenient with a simple lockbox and key. There was plenty of parking out front and the outside area was very well maintained. Would highly recommend anyone staying near Queenstown to check this place out!

The space was lovely and clean with a gorgeous view toward Queenstown. I love watching the planes and helicopters fly in and out. We live under a flight path in Australia but if you’re not used of it, this could be a problem- location isn’t far from Queenstown airport and flight path is beside the cottages. Great amenities in the cottage but they are missing a dishwashing draining rack, the microwave is too high and hard to read, and they need more helpful information in the compendium, eg: there is a day night convenience store up the road that sells the most delicious pies and snag rolls, local attractions etc. The road in and out of Queenstown is always busy. The parking prices in Queenstown are so expensive ($6.00 an hour, $3.50 half hour etc). We really enjoyed our stay and location but also prices over Christmas period were expensive too.

Terrific location if you want a relaxed self cooking place that has amazing views. The outlook is amazing and Arrowtown and Queenstown are only a short drive. It is in a suburban location so no restaurants etc.
