We think the breakfast is okay. In the past, barista coffee was included but not in this trip. But the brewed coffee is so good. We didn't like the way they cooked the sunny side eggs because they tasted "plastic - ky" and the scrambled eggs looked dry. But on the brighter side, we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Wakatipu Drill - loved the prawns, fried chicken and salmon. Love the pool, spa but disappointed that the steam room was not working. Fabulous stay.

Room was lovely but paid extra for a lake view room but the view was more of the next building roof than the lake. Very disappointed. The dining options were limited as the main restaurant was closed for my second night and the other restaurant (Stacks) food was very average. My first choice of meal was not available as they 'ran out' (at 6pm) and the second choice i had to send back as it was awful. Nice place but they need to lift their game for a 5 star and expensive price.

The service is consistently outstanding, with friendly, professional staff who genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and looked after. The hotel has such a warm, cozy, and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful, the surroundings are stunning, and the entire property feels like a true retreat from the moment you arrive. The breakfast is always fantastic, with a great selection and high-quality food that starts the day off perfectly. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, which is why I continue to return year after year. After 15 years of visiting, Hilton Queenstown still exceeds my expectations every time. It’s a place that never disappoints, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Always sad to check out and keep looking forward to my next stay there.

A beautiful hotel on the lakes edge. Rooms were spacious, the view was incredible, they had a great breakfast selection, carpark was just across the road. Only thing was, it’s a slight drive out of Queenstown, but very close to airport. There is the option of the water taxi which runs every hour and picks up straight out the front of the hotel. $10-$14 one way

Lovely hotel! Beautiful property around the lake. We are so glad we didn’t stay in downtown queenstown and decided to stay here. There is a ferry outside the hotel that you can take to go to downtown queenstown or if you have a car, it’s very convenient drive. Room was sooo nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it 100%

We had a 2 bedroom waterfront apartment. Nice views. Room was clean and new. It's close to the airport, but about a 20 minute drive into town. We had a rental car, so that wasn't a problem for us, just bear in mind the extra cost if you need taxis or water taxis into town. There are nice walks around the lake from the hotel.

Beautiful, spacious room in a convenient location. On-site parking was $20 per day, which felt reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The fireplace was a lovely touch and kept the room warm and cosy, the room itself was very well insulated, and the shower pressure was excellent. There were a few downsides. At night there was a noticeable sound coming from within the walls that didn’t occur during the daytime. The room service menu for dinner mains was also quite limited. Unfortunately, the hair dryer provided appeared damaged and started sparking, which could have become dangerous if I hadn’t quickly switched it off at the power point. A few small improvements could make the stay even better — more TV channel options for kids would be great, and the front desk occasionally didn’t answer calls from the room, so it was easier to walk down in person for requests like cutlery. The spa was extremely hot while the pool was quite cold, so balancing the temperatures a little better would improve the experience. Overall though, it was an enjoyable and relaxing stay with wonderful staff, and we had a great time.
