Recently renovated. Nice and clean. Good pool selection with plenty of shaded areas for those of us who fear the sun. Food was very good and alcohol selection was also great just like the other Riu’s.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Riu Bávaro in Punta Cana. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the food was great with plenty of options to enjoy. The pool was a little warmer than we would have preferred, but the lively atmosphere made up for it. The staff were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The entertainment was truly top-notch and, in our opinion, unmatched. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable vacation.

I will give the hotel an 8 out of 10. Food and amenities were excellent, but linen was dated. Sheets and towels were stained. I did not like that, and one of our t-shirts disappeared from our room. Bring cash to tip everybody, because is expected everywhere you go. The other thing was the beach, it was not the best. Everything else, excellent. Shows, restaurants, food, pools and drinks all very good. Many activities for children as well.

Hotel Riu Palace Bavarois a very nice hotel. The amenities are beautiful and well maintained. Our only problem was that we had to be constantly calling room service - literally everyday- to get wash rags. The staff wasn't bad but weren't the friendliest., except for Hector at the bar close to the bakery and splashpad. There are tons of activities and entertainment for the entire family. I especially liked the Michael Jackson show that was on our first night there. The kids enjoyed the water slides and pools. I love that there are many restaurants with diverse options. The food wasn't the best in most however, my family enjoyed eating at the stakehouse and at Krystal. The buffet had good options some days as well. Our only complaints and the reason I probably will not return to DR is because my husband was sick and vomiting on his second night and I had diarrhea from the third night there. We are assuming it was from the alcohol since our kids did not get sick.

We’re a family of 6 with 4 kids , one with special needs. The “fun” started right from the beginning when they put us on the second floor room, without an elevator, knowing we have child in a wheelchair. Regardless of me sending them an email long before arrival, they told us that there’s nothing they can do. Most stuff doesn’t speak English at all. Kids club is non existent, we tried multiple times but it’s always closed. I would give them zero stars but food was good and some workers were nice.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at RIU Palace Bavaro. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the grounds are kept immaculate. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The food was consistently good, with plenty of variety at the restaurants and buffets. The drinks, however, were a bit inconsistent—some were excellent, while others depended on the bartender. Unfortunately, we did have a significant issue during our stay. Our daughter’s room had a faulty door that would not lock. Although the staff attempted to address the problem, they were unable to repair it that evening and could not provide her with another room until the following day. As a result, she had to spend the night in our room because her room was not secure. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. Despite being unable to use the room she had paid for that night due to a safety and security issue, the resort initially declined to reimburse her for the lost night. We felt that better customer service and a quicker resolution would have gone a long way in turning an unfortunate situation into a positive experience. Despite this issue, we enjoyed many aspects of the resort, including its beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, and good food. With improved customer service when handling guest concerns, our experience would have easily been a five-star stay.
