Riu was awesome to stay at. It had a lot of fun things to do including tons of pools a nice beach and parties. The only thing I’d say needs an improvement would be the food service. To be in DR and to have American style foods all the time was a bit of a disappointment but other than that I would do it again!

We like the beachfront access and all the cool activities like the RIU parties and the splash park. There’s lots of bad reviews about the food but we found them to be quite untrue as everything we had was good and did not make us sick. Obviously we stayed away from seafood

If you get a good deal this hotel its worth it. The pool, beach and bars are excellent. The rooms are dated and food is just ok. However if you are looking to spend a week at beautiful pools and the beach you will enjoy the hotel. Just know what you are getting and what you are giving up. My family with two kids 17 and 14 had a great time as they are not particular about food and don’t care about dated rooms.

The hotel itself is ok, needs some updating but overall it was a very nice stay . The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was also good but I think they’re should’ve been typical Dominican food options, people also go to learn about the culture and the options were all very basic. I only got one breakfast that they actually had Mangu and salchichón as an option which was nice. There were mosquitos , but that’s expected in a tropical place. Over all we had a great Time!!

The staff going out of their way to excel on service, cleanliness, friendliness and giving the best experience for their customers. As in point, I mentioned to our waiter (SanPablo) at the continental buffet that we were experiencing our anniversary a few days later. On that date, we went for dinner and I gave our waiter SanPablo arranged for a mariachi band, a cake for dessert and our table decorated. It was a truly amazing experience; an anniversary we’ll never forget.

Overall our stay was good once we moved rooms due to daily complaint of the w.c not working! Pools great! Gardens very well looked after! The rooms are a little tired and could do with some work but kept clean! Buffet pretty good considering the amount of people! Entertainment is very poor!
