Overall the resort was great. We got upgraded rooms upgraded with pool which was nice ofcourse we have to pay for it. If you are Indian and like Indian restaurant the food there was not good at all. Other italian restaurant was good the buffet was good with lot of fruits options. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Very clean they have mini bar in room. No microwave though.

Over all the resort isn’t awful. However our stay was quite expensive and we didn’t totally love it. The food could have been better, I would’ve loved to see more authentic Dominican food. There’s one dessert parlor for all of the resort, and it was often hard to get any server to attend to you. I’ve seen some people go above and beyond but the consensus is that most of them will not go above and beyond. We had an issue with the AC but we were switched out so great. Shout out to Jerry in the front desk for that. There was very minimal entertainment for the family, everything was a beach party at 930pm.

For those who have kids and would also like to enjoy a good time with their wife or husband, this is the perfect place to go. While your kids are having fun, you can relax and enjoy yourself as well. We found that there were staff members super nice with excellent customer service but there were others that treated everyone like they didn’t really wanted to be there at all. There’s very little explanation about what type of activities you can find and how to book a restaurant reservation. We were able to eat at a teppanyaki restaurant that didn’t have AC, it came to a point where it felt really hot. Besides these things, I think is a good place to stay.

Awesome location for a family trip! We traveled here for a week with our 3 kids ages 6, 3, and 4 months old. The beach was wide and beautiful. There are plenty of chairs near umbrellas for shade but also a large area for kids to play in the sand and swim in the ocean. My kids loved the 2 kid pools with slides. We didn’t do too many of the kids club activities since we stayed at the beach most of the time, but the ones we did participate in were fun. Food was amazing. We really loved the Indian restaurant. The buffets have a great selection. Every staff member was kind and helpful and so friendly with our kids. The nature path was also fun for the kids. They loved spotting all of the different birds and turtles on the property. We would definitely come here again in the future.

We stayed in a Family Club room at Grand Bavaro Princess with 2 adults and 3 children. The room wasn’t huge, but the bunk bed/pull-out layout worked well, giving each child their own bed. Its location near the Family Club buffet, kids’ pool, and pool bar was very convenient. Pros: The grounds and beach are beautiful, with plenty of shaded lounge chairs. The Family Club buffet and pool bar staff were friendly, the kids loved the pools and water slides, the peacocks were a fun bonus, Cappuccino coffee shop was excellent, and the teppanyaki restaurant was outstanding. Cons: The food was the biggest disappointment. Buffets lacked freshness, food trucks weren’t good, and most restaurants fell short. El Gaucho served the worst filet I’ve had, and Samsara’s Indian food (especially the paper-thin naan) was far from authentic. Service was inconsistent, simple requests (pillows, towels) took days or never happened, and English communication could be difficult. There was no pool or beach drink service, yet vendors interrupted us every few minutes selling excursions and souvenirs, making it hard to relax. Golf carts also drive very fast and extremely close to pedestrians, so keep children nearby. Overall, beautiful property and beach, but inconsistent service and disappointing food mean we’d choose a different resort next time. 3/5 stars.
