The River Tree is an excellent value here in this waterfront town of Clarkston. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-furnished. They serve a REAL breakfast, starting very early. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The price is very reasonable. This is my GO-TO place on my frequent trips here.

We were traveling through and needed a room. I checked reviews, which were highly rated, so we rented a room. We had two queen beds with a small kitchen, which we didn't use, but it was very nice. The hotel is like an old school motel but is really well maintained. Everything is clean and in good shape. Checkin was quick and the room was large and didn’t smell like cleaning products. The bed was comfy and the AC worked great and wasn’t intrusively loud. The outdoor pool is in the center of the building so everyone has a pool view. Breakfast was really good! None of the premixed out of a bag eggs, these appeared to be hand scrambled. All the muffins looked fresh and were wrapped in plastic wrap, not vacuum packed. In all a great place for an overnight!

Room was clean and recently updated. Bed was comfortable, A/C was fantastic. Pool was clean and refreshing. Hot tub was out the first evening but maintenance took care of it quickly and was up by the next day. Laundry was adequate although a bit overpriced, but in a pinch you can get a load or too handled. Quality machines that handled a decent sized load. Shower pressure on the second floor was outstanding. Provided toiletries were exceptional quality. Breakfast was excellent and varied day to day. One thing I think stood out above all else, as simple as it is, was the hotel had a guest use propane BBQ that they provided propane for. This allowed us to buy a small amount of groceries and save money on the meal cost. Finally, location was perfect. The gas station, Walmart, Costco, Albertsons, and local parks were all within walking distance, and the local Sharps burger ranch was next door. WiFi and DIRECTV was on point as well. The staff cannot be credited enough for the quality of the stay. As a family of five, the stay was within budget, and we were never lacking for things to do in our downtime. Overall the stay was fantastic value, and an outstanding stay. Thanks to the folks at the RiverTree Inn!
