We had a lovely stay at Pukawa Village. Our apartment, 15A, overlooked a beautiful garden and the stunning Lake Taupō, making every morning and evening feel incredibly special. The surroundings were so serene and peaceful , truly the perfect place to relax and unwind. Honestly, the view and atmosphere reminded us of Lake Como in Italy, yet we were right here in beautiful New Zealand. It felt like a hidden gem. The owners are such lovely people , very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The property is very well maintained, and you can really see the care they put into keeping everything in excellent condition. All the amenities were perfect and thoughtfully provided, making our stay very comfortable. The location is definitely a 10/10 , quiet, scenic, and absolutely breathtaking. We loved our stay, the view is everything you could hope for. A morning coffee with the sunrises was so beautiful. Handy having a washing machine and dryer. Nearby restaurant was so lovely. Would recommend and I hope we can return in the near future. Family of 4 (kids 4 and 2). Room had plenty of blankets, and heating options.

Our family stayed here over the weekend in a two-bedroom unit, and we had a wonderful experience. The unit was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight, though, was the breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Taupō. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake in the morning was a truly memorable experience. The location is also fantastic. It’s close to the Tongariro Trout Centre, which is well worth a visit, and the scenic drive to and around the area is incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would happily return, and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Taupō region.
