It’s a wonderful property with beautiful green lush gardens on the beach. The positive energy in this hotel is not something you can buy and they have it. It’s very relaxing and fun place to be. Will gladly go back again. Breakfast was delicious and with many options and the room we stayed as was very comfortable. Not all rooms are the same so just check that it’s a good choice for you before booking.

Breakfast was the best part, parking right across for free, and can take a Tuk tuk taxi into town for just 4000 colones or drive yourself as it’s 10 min away. It is secluded to playa Negra so if you don’t have a car it’s not as convenient but luckily we did! Staff is awesome and helpful. Food is well priced and drinks as well.

The beds aren't that comfortable. The properties location is great! For the rooms that don't have AC it would be nice if the owner would provide additional fans or Give the option of additional fans at check in. We were in ocean breeze room and the thought of the additional locked door at the bottom of the stairs is nice except you can reach your hand though and open it without a key. Maybe have a lock that needs a key on both sides.

Overall, the location, breakfast, staff, and general atmosphere of the hotel were excellent. It truly feels like a diamond in the rough and that’s part of what makes it so special. Being surrounded by jungle, with black sand beaches right across the road, is an incredible experience. The amount of wildlife and nature you encounter is unforgettable. Our cabin was on the smaller side. It worked for the two of us, but space was tight, and having a car to store some luggage made a big difference. Without that, it may have felt cramped for a longer stay. The in-room amenities were fairly basic, but this was offset by the quality of the breakfast, which was delicious and offered a nice variety of options. The staff really stood out, friendly, welcoming, and happy to share local recommendations, which added a lot to our experience.

One with nature

My stay was absolutely wonderful, the staff made sure i was comfortable. This hotel is truly beautiful with sounds of the ocean, a big beautiful balcony, and views of the jungle. My favorite part was the lunch they packed for me when i checked out early before breakfast.

The hotel was pretty good, my room was ‘cute’. I would stay there again but would also be happy to check out other options. I loved being right on the beach. However, the pool was small and literally right at the restaurant so it was hard to relax and enjoy the pool. The front desk staff were great but a couple of the wait staff could use a little improvement. The food was decent but really large portions. It is also an easy 10-15 minute bike ride into Puerto Viejo

Wow - what a fantastic experience we had!! This hotel is so gorgeous and lovely - each room is a joy. We had an upper floor room with an open air balcony overlooking the ocean, and a ground floor room with a massive bath tub! We ate many meals at the wonderful hotel restaurant. The black sand beach was amazing - the water clear warm and gentle. A great experience!!

Lovely relaxing stay. We saw sloths in the trees and poison dart frogs on the ground! The walks along the beach were beautiful. The food was very good especially the tuna steaks and it was not too expensive. Excellent cocktails!

Comfortable hotel by the beach (quite wavey and with black sand, difficult to swim at when we were there). We booked one of the alartments with two rooms, quite big, no AC just fan, but enough for us.good breakfast!
