This was a stunning hotel with amazing pools and views (not like the pictures all year round) the kids pool and slides were brilliant fun and it’s fantastic that adults could ride down one of the bigger slides with their little ones (cos in couple of hotels they don’t allow it & we feel it’s safer to be able to ride with them) the lazy river was brilliant and scenic with iguanas and birds to see. Great experience but overall I wouldn’t recommend it for young children as very high balcony with part rotten base and a dangerous very heavy stone top table that could have been tipped over onto little one & only rope barrier in restaurant also with big drop. Another family with a 2 year old were also shocked by this and we both expected there would be a glass barrier to prevent falls but there wasn’t. On steep hills but they had golf buggy’s to run people around which is good but also added another risk for children as they go quite fast & some drivers more careful than others. The food in the main restaurant was edible but compared to the other hotels we stayed at around puerto Vallarta to punta de mita was the worst & poorest choice. We didn’t get to experience the Japanese restaurant which sounded lovely. The beach nice but too rough to swim for kids. The beach bar was fab with very good food choices was the best we found across the different hotels and we preferred it to the main restaurant. There was free transport each hour to and from the beach

It was my first time staying at an all-inclusive and was prepared to not have my expectations totally met - however, I was very much surprised and had a wonderful time. Breakfast buffet was incredible (I wish it was offered all day since the rest of the food on offer was rather hit or miss). Perfectly ripe papaya, delicious Mexican breakfast options and lots of other things to choose from. The landscaping within the hotel was exquisite and expertly maintained - it made lounging by the (many) pools a very luxurious experience. The cooler "natural" pool and plunge pool was my favourite (no music blasting). I walked up and down the property several times within the day although the drivers and their golf carts are around and willing to transport you if you need it. My generously sized room had a great view and was relatively quiet (apart from random "bangs" coming from my mini fridge in the middle of the night). Comfy bed and slept very well. The beach was clean and food/drink service was very good/speedy. The beach vendors can be a little tiring, but to be expected when tourists are around. I was a little worried about the hotel being understaffed, based on previous reviews, but I everyone there was friendly, available and professional. While I came alone for a retreat (from reality, from family demands) I would definitely return with my growing family one day. Kids and their (buzzed?) parents all seemed so happy to be there together. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!

A few staff members like Ronnie at the pool bar was amazing and a few more I couldn’t remember their names. Pros: beautiful property, loved the rooms and even the products they use are expensive and nice! A couple memorable staff that made you feel welcome! Cons: lots of walking even though we personally didn’t mind it and the biggest con is the food quality. Very bland and the worst yet compared to what we experienced in other resorts. Our kids didn’t eat the entire time, other then the instant noodles at the pantry. There was good tacos at the pool area but can’t live off of tacos. Would love to go back if food quality changes but until then even the beautiful property can’t make up for the stay without good food.

One of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone seemed confused. The service was awful. The transportation around the resort was very inconvenient and the transportation locally was unreliable. Feels like you’re stranded in a desolate area. The food was terrible. I’m mind blown that this resort was “5-star” rated. Marriott should be ashamed to put their name on this property.

A great place to slow down and relax. Building 5 is the best as it’s the newest. Teppanyaki restaurant is delicious, the buffet is decent. Bar in the lobby makes the best drinks. Seemed understaffed but could be due to the time of year.

It’s a very large property that requires shuttle service to get from one end to the other. There’s limited shuttle available and calling for one was hit and miss. They could use the switchboard operator at reception. The variety of swimming pools was great and ideal for kids. There is no poolside food or drink service, which would be nice as well.
