If you are looking for a nice resort with beach front access i recommend the Barcelo. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. They treat you like royalty. Only down side is it’s about 20 mins from town, so you need to get a lot of taxi’s to go back and forth, but if you are looking to just stay there and relax it is amazing. They have everything you will need.

Great staff and a very nice place to stay! It feels cut off from the city which is a big plus if you want some peace but it does make me coloring a little different. The staff are super helpful and great in both English and Spanish. One night we felt a little under the weather and the staff went out of their way to make sure we got our food fast and without a fuss.
