The hotel should improve aspects of the grounds, the staff were friendly- Alfredo and the servers at the La Vela were wonderful! The hotel Is lacking in the food genre. The food really sucked, and the room had plenty of ants, in the sink, in the bed and in the counter. It does have a nice beach, easy to access and walk at any time of the day. The vendors do get annoying in the area. With improvement it could be a better hotel. 2-3/5

It’s not all inclusive when you have to wait in lines all day for food or drink, by the way. Food is mediocre at best, the staff doesn’t want to be there.

THE STAFF AT THE FACILITY WAS EXCELLENT , RESPECTFUL, ALWAYS WILLING TO ASSIST IN ANYTHING NEEDED, THEIR CHARACTER WAS EXCELLENT, SHOUT OUT TO " RAFINA AT THE BAR ALWAYS MAKING MY DRINKS AND CAPPUCCINO COFFEE WITH A SMILE, TEDDY-BEAR AT THE BEACH SITE FOR HIS PLEASANT CONVERSATIONS, 'KENNEDY THE SECURITY GUARD FOR ALWAYS MAKING SURE THAT THE HOTEL WAS SAFE, EMMANUEL AND JUAN FROM THE CHAIN MEMBERSHIP AREA FOR THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND GREAT SERVICE. Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) Friendly staff overall, but poor handling of key issue and no management response The staff were generally very friendly and welcoming — we would have rated all 5s if not for one front desk night shift employee and the lack of management follow-up. Two nights in a row around 11 PM, our door keys stopped working. The first night, Jose sent someone to help. The second night, he refused to send assistance and insisted we walk all the way to the front desk. Thankfully, we’re healthy, but this would have been a major issue for anyone with mobility concerns. The key was not demagnetized — it was kept in my shirt pocket. Employee was rude, and no manager was available. We submitted a complaint through Expedia requesting contact with management but never received a response. Disappointing experience considering how kind and professional the rest of the staff were.

The food is horrible and limited. Thank goodness there was restaurants close by just a walk down the beach. The beach is beautiful but windy so big waves. Great for the kite surfers. I will not return.

Lovely, but too many "buy this" vendors on the beach. Also, not all amenities were available as indicated...asking for a $50 USD deposit to play pool. We would return only because the staff were very nice and its not a crazy party place.
