Pros: nice room, dinners were good, beautiful beach Cons: 5 star price…3 star service. Island time is definitely a thing, and that’s okay unless you want to charge premium prices. Took 40 minutes to get a shuttle to one of the villages, while the whole time an empty shuttle was sitting out front, but no one would take it (even though it worked). 1.5 hour wait to one of the restaurants for 2 people that had multiple open tables, when I inquired about it, they said they were being held, but they explicitly told us no holds or reservations. Some of the staff were awesome, but as a whole most seemed disinterested with a “not my job” attitude. Overall: if you have young kids, probably a great place. Lots of pools, great beach and several things geared towards children. If you have teenagers or no kids and expect service comparable to the price tag, stay somewhere else.

The experience at Beaches was everything BFF we could have hoped for. They do an amazing job of tending to your every need, the staff was top notch. Best honeymoon ever! A few notable staff members were Leonardo at the desk in Key west and Andis who was our favorite, He was doing a lot of event in the evening. Really great people and property, would recommend to anyone!

Husband and daughter both got food poisoning which ruined our trip. Read that many others have had the same experience here. Beach is beautiful. Food is average. No drink or food service on the beach. No room service. We even had a conceive room.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They all tried to make our vacation a memorable experience and there were many choices for meals and drinks. Our only concern was the room choices were a garden or pool view. Our room had a patio that looked at workers coming and going. The diving pool was there but we couldn't see anything due to a high fence and shrubbery covering the fence. There was a parking space for resort vehicles directly across from our patio so when we sat outside we looked at a parked vehicle. We did not have a garden or pool view. As I walked around the Caribbean village there were several rooms that has blocked or obstructed views, one looking at the back of a concrete utility building. I went to the concierge to ask for a room change and she said she couldn't change until the next day and we would have to be out of our room by 9am and couldn't enter the new room until 3pm. So we had no room for 6 hours. I asked to talk with the manager and I had to make an appoint the next day. I was very disappointed. We decided to stay in our current room. My suggestion is that if you have rooms with obstructed views that detract from the view it should be indicated in the booking of the room. Similar to seats at a baseball/football/soccer stadium that have obstructed view that are discounted due to a post or low roof that limit your view.

We had a great stay at Beaches! When we first got there, I was nervous. The property is rundown (not 5* as they claim). We stayed in Caribbean which I knew was the worst village. The glass doors all had fingerprints all over them. That's the first sign to me that something isn't clean! We got to the room and were pleasantly surprised. It was older and some things need to be replaced, but it was clean and there was plenty of room for our family of 4. We tried a bunch of the restaurants during our stay and liked almost all of them. The silent disco was a blast. We did the snorkeling excursion which was great. We hired the guy right outside the aqua center for parasailing and loved that too, although it was cut very short due to incoming rain and we still had to pay full price. It is very nice to not have to carry around tip money and for everything to be included. I asked the staff and they all said they are treated very well and that it's the best place to work, which makes me feel better about how expensive it is. I really hope they are paid well because they work so hard to keep us tourists happy! Overall, I would say it is rundown in many places so go to the nicer sections, try the different restaurants, and enjoy the beautiful island!
