Lovely historic building renovated into a lovely small inn. Beautifully appointed rooms, Delish breakfast and a quick drive to downtown. Providence is a really fun walkable city!
Room was nice. The property was really interesting (old house). Breakfast room was very charming. The actual breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but overall the place was as advertised.
My son and I enjoyed our stay at this beautifully restored house. Breakfast was good. Dinner recommendations were great. Zoe accommodated us easily. Would definitely stay here again.
An absolutely gorgeous hotel. Room was huge and well turned out with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast really hit the spot and I felt welcomed from the second I got there. I can not recommend the Wedding Cake House more.
Thanks Anna for the warm welcome and excellent service. Well preserved property with unique details. Comfortable bed and pillows. Basic but quality breakfast included.
Very quick trip to Providence, and we were lucky the Wedding Cake House happened to have one room left, an affordable room, I might add, unlike a lot of other hotels in the area. We had a spacious room, funky and historic vibe all at the same time, in an area with lots of amenities and quick to downtown or Brown. The clawfoot tub even had a shower with good water pressure! I loved the decor and the spirit of the place.
House is historic and eclectic. Rooms are very private.
Complimentary breakfast was great. Staff is amazing. Parking was included. Neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and social spots within walking distance. Only negative was no tv in room.

Elegant meets quirky
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was fairly quiet and calm space. The bed was relatively comfortable, a little on the springy side.
The outdoor spaces need a gardener and sweeping but otherwise fairly pleasant.
The Wedding Cake House is a awesome house. Anna, was a wonderful host. I would recommend this house if you want to find something unique. The history of the house was interesting.
We were welcomed by Anna, she was very lively, informative and polite. The property itself is stunning. High ceilings and large rooms. Bed was really comfy. The breakfast was lovely, some nice home cooked items available too. No fridge in the room but there was a large communal one. Would definitely stay there again
Eclectic and comfortable. No TV can be an issue. Otherwise good place to stay.

Great location near Federal Hill. Really cool historical house with unique interior design. Our room had a claw foot tub/shower in the bedroom which looked really beautiful but we felt very nervous getting in/out of with no rails or wall or wall support. Breakfast was a light European style meal with a non- dairy option- which I appreciated. Room service or dinning room option was also a nice touch.
I almost never leave reviews, unless a hotel goes above and beyond my expectations. Wedding Cake House was exactly that. Both the exterior and interior is beautiful and well-thought out design-wise. Anna was exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated the restaurant recommendations that I was provided, which allowed me to explore a wonderful area of the city that I likely wouldn’t have checked out had I not stayed at this specific hotel. The breakfast, which was delivered to my door, was an extra treat. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to all my friends going to Providence.
This is a gem of a B and B! Artfully and tastefully decorated, furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. There's always a snack and a hot cup of coffee or tea waiting when you arrive home from a busy day. And the breakfast is outstanding. Both dining room and delivery to the room are available. The choices are healthy and delicious and the pot of french press coffee is fantastic.
The staff is very attentive and helpful. Pippi went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful, comfortable stay. Thanks!
We stumbled into the Wedding Cake House while making last-minute arrangements to visit family in Warwick and Barrington. We’re so glad we did. What a unique property and amazing story behind the renovation. You feel honored just to be inside. We were greeted warmly by Anna, who explained all the particulars, then handed us our key (!). The room was comfy and warm and our only quibble was with the water pressure in the shower (we were on the top floor and the shower was “gentle mist”).
The Wedding Cake House was beautifully renovated. There were several books in your room and available to buy that talked about the history of the house and the renovation process.
The staff was willing to accommodate our late arrival and met us at the door with a tour of the location. The room was spacious and clean. We were provided with extra linens and all supplies needed for our stay.
Breakfast options were available for vegans (which isn’t always the case) and the weekend specials were delicious.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Providence. It is really close to restaurants and the city center - there is parking on site as well.
