This property was full of charm with wide plank wood floors and comfy bedding. The breakfast was delicious and staff was kind and welcoming. Plenty of parking, which is needed, as you’re up by the highway.

Beautiful property with a lot of charm, ad it is well maintained. We enjoyed the friendly staff, delicious breakfast, lots of amenities, and a spectacular view of the state house! Definitely will stay here again and recommend to others.

This B&B was amazing on every level. The room was spacious with a stunning view of the capitol building. The parking was included and much easier than other downtown hotels which require valet and garage parking. The included breakfasts were excellent and different every day with two choices of entrées that were restaurant quality. A common room with complementary refreshments was a cozy and welcoming and much appreciated touch. All staff were friendly and accommodating and the check-in and checkout process was easy.

We loved our stay here! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious. A perfect mix of historical charm and modern amenities. So many thoughtful details were considered throughout our stay such as fresh baked cookies at check in a lovely coffee/tea/snack area and newspapers available in the morning. Breakfast was great and parking was free and convenient. We only stayed one night as we were in town for a concert, but would definitely return and highly recommend. Thank you!

Everything was great except the location of our room, which unfortunately was just how it shook out. If I reserved with them again, I would ask for an upper floor room. Our room was right next to the lower main entrance, which was also the entrance closest to the office. We could hear each conversation that happened there, as well as the front door opening and closing. Luckily it didn’t happen when we were sleeping, but we were sort of still waking up in the morning when a conversation was happening right outside our door around 8am on a Saturday.

Overall, this place is meh. My wife and I were greeted by a young lady who was pleasant enough but disheveled and didn’t make eye contact; not a good first impression. The room appeared clean but it took about two minutes for the water in the bathroom to turn warm, the sink had a distinct smell of sewerage, and the shower had a very slow drain. Also, the furniture was old and cheap and the chairs have a musty odor. Suffice it to say our room has not seen a plumber in a while and is in desperate need of a makeover. The breakfast in the morning was served by a pleasant young lady but it was unpalatable. The owners have clearly stopped caring and just let this place go. Besides, there is nothing within walking distance. Don’t bother. Just stay in a hotel.
