Nice huge room!

Great place and a Lovely room!! But the check in felt a little weird/very rushed. The manager showed us the apartment and explained everything in like 1 minute. It was alot to take in and remember and he talked very fast so I had to ask again several times... It felt like he was in a hurry and that in turn made us feel unwelcome. Very weird customer service. But the place was lovely in a great quiet place with gorgeous surroundings.

Great accommodation

Really great accommodation, close to town, very comfortable and clean, equipped with all one needs. Hosts were friendly and helpful - even gave us a bottle of local wine on the house when they told us the restaurant recommended by them was unlicensed! Will really recommend Karoo View Cottages; and will definitely stay there again if we are in the area!!

Know what to expect.

Great spacey cottage and friendly owner. 'Breakfast' was limited to milk and serials, no other choice. Others did get proper breakfast but it's policy to do that only for guest who stay longer then 3 days. We were not told where the swimming pool could be found, later we heard that it's in the garden of the owner and that you should ask his permission to use it first... I think it's good to manage the right expectations, therefor this review about the breakfast and pool...

Absichtliche Überbuchung aufgrund von Geldgier!

Trotz Buchungsbestätigung, welche auch dem Manager vorlag, und vorherigem E-Mail-Verkehr, wurde die Unterkunft überbucht. Da aus dem E-Mail-Verkehr hervorging, dass die Unterkunft meine Buchung ganz gerne storniert haben möchte, um dies für mehr Geld vergeben zu können, kann dies nur mit Absicht passiert sein. Wir sind nicht in der gebuchten Unterkunft untergekommen, man hat uns eine "Alternativ-"Unterkunft angeboten. Dies war keine wirkliche Alternative und nciht ansatzweise vergleichbar mit der gebuchten, aber bevor wir auf der Straße stehen mussten... Sehr unprofessioneller und unehrlicher Vorgang, dies habe ich zuvor so noch nicht erlebt.

Superbly kitted out cottage, heaps of character and charm. Loved the fireplace. Appreciated their approach to managing water and waste- quite refreshing compared to many others. Highly recommend. Wished I had booked more nights.
