A charming slightly old fashioned mix of pub, cafe, restaurant, tea shoppe and bed and breakfast - with superb food in a quiet village on the edge of Bowland Forest in Lancashire.
The hotel is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious! It is very noisy at night. We could hear every footstep and creak of the floorboards from the guests in the room upstairs and they did wake us up.
Very comfortable.
They had to offer a different room to that originally booked, but offered a small refund in compensation.
Very helpful staff.
As our departure was earlier than normal (i.e.before breakfast), they happily provided a take away breakfast pack-up.
The welcome we received was warm and friendly, our room initially was impressive, however we found the en suite a tadge dated. The bed was comfy and decor nicely quirky. The highlight was the breakfast which was excellent, the best english i have had for years! impressive and recommended.
Always a great pleasure to stay at The Priory especially when the sun is shining. Very well run hotel in a beautiful part of the country. Dinner and breakfast was tremendous, the quality of the food deserves a special mention.
Great place, only downside is early closing of the bar at 9:00pm.

Good hotel
Lovely lady that seems to run the hotel, I think the hotel could do with a little TLC, in our room anyway with damp peeling wallpaper. Breakfast was excellent, didn't have an evening meal there as we went out for dinner.
On arrival to reception, nobody was about, so just stood there for a couple of minutes as no bell to let staff know we were there.
Overall it was a fairly pleasant stay.
Proximity to the M6 is excellent whilst still feeling suitably rural.
Room was clean and adequately equipped.
There is ample off road parking.
Dinner was above average pub food, the beer was excellent but the breakfast took it to another level, really excellent breakfast!
WiFi was BT and averaged about 8.5mb down while both my O2 and BT phones had full 4G
I shall certainly return on business trips in the future.
Lovely little village. Parking available at front or rear of the building. Rooms named rather than numbered. "Nicky Nook" was nice, with an iron 4 poster bed and spacious room. TV was a bit unreliable, noise from kitchen extractor fans made it impractical to open windows. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
