A gem of a hotel

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few years and they’ve had some renovations since I last stayed which look great. Friendly attentive staff, great food in the restaurant and very clean and tidy as always.

staff were all friendly, when they were there, nobody came to the bar despite numerous press of buzzer, same at reception, spa was nice, room had stained carpets and awful view but was spotless otherwise, new parts of hotel were lovely, old parts need upgrade, was awful smell in several of the rooms in old part of hotel, breakfast was okay, items missing and not replenished.

The room was clean and refreshed each day and the staff are always very friendly and happy to help. Overall this is a great hotel. My only disappointing 'niggle' is that I visited the same hotel a year ago and was given free access to the sauna/pool. This time there was an unexpected £10 charge and a pre-booking process which wasnt clearly indicated on the booking page. I really only booked the hotel for access to these amenities and didnt mind paying the extra compared to other hotels because of this being available. I will think twice before booking next time.

Wow myself and my partner stayed 2 weeks ago. What can we say. Excellent with very friendly and welcoming staff. It was our first visit but definitely be one of our favourites. Lovely hotel with spa and pool very clean all round. Breakfast and evening meal was spot on with lovely food, restaurant not badly priced. Note £10 for the pool swim and spa but well worth it. Would definitely recommend
