Brilliant hotel with everything you need.

Easy check in with kind staff. The location of the hotel is amazing! Perfect walking distance to the old town square, metro, tram, buses ect. Clean hotel with comfy beds. The walls are very thin so you can hear people in the hallway but perfect for travellers who don't mind this! I would definitely stay again.

Walking distance to old town Prague

Prague is a beautiful capital city but the old town area is a maze of small streets and this hotel is walking distance to everything in the old town. The staff were very helpful and I was pleased about my upgrade.

The hotel was charming. It was clean and the staff super helpful. Check in was easy and the staff helped us with all transportation issues as well as suggestions for getting around the city and tours. It is not a property however if one has any physical handicaps. Rooms are small with steps and can be difficult to get to. Overall, we loved it.

The Metropolitan is in a very central location surrounded by a hip neighborhood. We have stayed here four years ago and it isn’t as good as it used to be, but still worth for being able to reach all parts of the old town just by foot. The breakfast is varied and good value. The rooms have seen better days, but are clean and warm. It would have been nice to get a fresh supply of shower gel every other day maybe.

It has been the worst experience I have had in my life, and I am 49 years old. From the moment we arrived, the front desk was not welcoming. They gave us a room on the top floor of the hotel, literally in the attic, with windows in the ceiling that couldn’t be opened and a broken air conditioning unit. Additionally, the carpets were dirty, and getting to the fifth floor was an ordeal, as it required using two tiny elevators that barely worked. I had to leave and move to another hotel. They have not refunded my money yet. What they advertise on Expedia does not reflect how it looks in real life. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hotel itself was great, and the staff was courteous. Unfortunately, our experience booking through Expedia was extremely disappointing. We booked a room through Expedia for two adults, expecting a room with two beds. When my son and I arrived after traveling from the U.S., we were given an economy room with one king bed. The hotel explained that because we had booked through Expedia, they could not change the reservation. I reviewed our Expedia confirmation, and it clearly stated “Economy Room, 2 Adults.” However, there was no mention whatsoever of the number of beds or the bed configuration. When I contacted Expedia, their representative told me that it was our responsibility to review the confirmation before traveling. We did review it—and there was nothing indicating that the room would have only one bed. As a result, we had no choice but to purchase an additional room at the hotel so that my son and I could have separate sleeping arrangements. Ironically, the additional room we purchased directly from the hotel was significantly larger and cost about half as much as the room we had booked through Expedia. This is a major issue with Expedia’s booking information. Expedia should clearly state that information on the confirmation. The hotel was great, but Expedia’s lack of clear information and unwillingness to take responsibility for the problem resulted in an unnecessary additional expense and a very frustrating experience I will not be using Expedia again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Metropolitan Old Town First time in Prague. From the moment we checked in, the staff set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping, was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facility itself was spotless throughout, with our room arriving immaculately clean and remaining that way. Everything was well maintained and thoughtfully presented, which speaks volumes about the hotel's standards overall. The accommodation was exactly as described. The room matched what we expected perfectly, with comfortable bedding, ample space, and all the amenities you could ask for. It is always reassuring when a hotel delivers precisely what it promises, and this one did without question. A special mention goes to the breakfast, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The spread was impressive, with a wide variety of hot and cold options, fresh pastries, seasonal fruits, quality cheeses and cold cuts, and excellent coffee. There was genuinely something for everyone, and we looked forward to it every morning. If you are visiting the Old Town area, Hotel Metropolitan is an easy recommendation and we will be back without hesitation.
