The Rod has more character than anywhere else you will ever stay. The linens were all amazing, shower was wonderful, and it is super easy to get around if you have a car. Also had no problems with getting food delivered to my door. Found the fridge very useful as well as nice & cold!

An older hotel, approximately 1920. It appears to be going though an upgrade which is still in progress. Some things are in need of replacing. Some of the exterior is being worked on. The top floors were not open. However the lobby and main stairs show the hotel once proud perigee. No restaurant options were available on site.

The Rodmay Hotel has potential: it is definetely a heritage building and has some beautiful furniture but there is a lot of work to be done. It was clean and quiet but: 1. it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. 2. we couldn't shut the bathroom door. 3. the bathroom sink was very tiny with no counter space 4. the air was a bit stuffy.

First commercial property in Powell River. Built 1911 a lot of fun because of the history it represents. Its a heritage building and is old but for us and are dog the one night was great. Great Greek food just 5 min walk with a local brewery even closer.

We liked the cleanliness, old antiqes and lay out. Very nice employees. I think the staff is pleasant and helpful. I think when people are booking they should ask if there is any elderly in there party because the rooms have many stairs to climb and no elevator. This is fair because I had a hard time getting to our room and my granddaughter had to make three trips with our belongings. Thats my only oncern for others. Otherwise it is an excellent place.
