I was meant to check out today at 11, but I had an expected and rather important work call with a UN body and requested an hour late check out time. First of all, good establishments have all pushed their check out time to 12. Second, I have never in all my experience staying in similar establishments been denied an hour-late check out time. “The room was lovely apart from the heat as we stayed during a UK heatwave. A fan was provided luckily especially as our room was up in the eaves. It would have been nice to have had a tv but I guess they want you to spend time (and money) in the pub not in your room. The kitchen area would have also benefitted from a small fridge so the milk and water (replenished daily) could have been kept cold. “We have just had a pleasant 2 night stay at Stubley Castle,room was just what we needed very clean with the necessary amenities to make our short stay comfortable,lovely bar area and the restaurant was very good,the breakfast was basically whatever you wanted,we had 2 evenings meals in the restaurant,first one was off the English menu and was ok possibly to much of what we had was done in a deep fat fryer,White Bait and Cod and Chips ,the staff are Indians and really nothing was to much...
