Value for money, this is an excellent deal. The free breakfast is generous and good. would have to pay about $20 for a breakfast like this in a diner. You'll have to drive to the breakfast facility, but it's in downtown Rhinebeck, so not inconvenient. Check-in is offsite as well. At the Village Inn, there are no amenities. Not even ice or snack machines, so be prepared.

It is actually a bit outside of town and you check-in at a separate hotel IN town. It was easy enough to get the key. The room was clean and spacious, bare bones, but cozy. Breakfast is continental and also off site, but coffee and cereal available. We had a small issue, not hotel related, and the hotel staff was outstanding and accommodating. Would recommend.

We didn't see anyone in The Villaje Inn during our stay. You have to do the check in and check out in the near by Hotel Beekman Arms and that was a nigthmare for us because because we arrive a 10:30pm. The walking distance is 15minutes. The property is ok if you only want to sleep there. The beds are comfortable but tv doesn't work properly, nor the A/C. For the price is ok. The complemantary breakfast is ok.

“Lipstick on a pig” comes to mind. Upon arrival, we found the front desk closed and a note telling us to drive into town to pick up our room key at the Beekman Arms—the oldest continuously operating inn in America. Unfortunately, none of that historic charm extends to this motel. After retrieving an actual metal key, we returned to find a building in serious disrepair. An attic vent was disintegrating off the wall, the grounds were overgrown, and the guest ice service consisted of a plastic camping cooler outside the shuttered office. The room had received a partial cosmetic renovation, including newer laminate flooring, but the floor was so filthy that my bare feet turned black. The bathroom upgrades were poorly finished, with a broken sink light, an awkwardly modified ceiling fixture, and towels that could have been cleaner. The windows had only thin, see-through sheer curtains, providing virtually no privacy. We had to hang a blanket over the window, and housekeeping seemed indifferent when we raised the issue. The beds, to be fair, were clean and comfortable. This may sound harsh, but the property is in very poor condition and needs much more than superficial upgrades. It is firmly on the lower end of the lodging spectrum.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful village

We wound up in the main hotel and the room was enormous and the bed was comfy. I always bring bath salts so it was a welcome reward at the nice deep tub.

Rhinebeck Excursion

The Village is very conveniently located at walking distance from downtown with all the restaurants and amenities. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
