Parking was easy, but the apartment was quite dirty. The location was in a reasonable driving distance from lots of activities, but the area itself did not feel safe enough to walk around with a small child.

This is a beautifully restored historical home. We loved all the thoughtful details of the home and the hospitality of the owner (coffee, cream, condiments, toiletries).

Great place to come "home" to

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The building was beautiful and the apartment perfect for our needs. Lovely historic home that's been modernized without losing its vintage charm. Would definitely stay here again.

The perfect little getaway spot!

The place was wonderful! Gary was extremely nice and thoughtful! He put out little snacks, some fruit and a delicious homemade banana bread! He kept condiments stocked so we didn’t have to buy anything if we wanted to cook. Toiletries in the bathroom and anything else we might have needed. The place was very clean and just as pictured on the website. It’s a perfect little getaway spot!

Good stay for hiking weekend

The apartment was great. The location was perfect for some local hiking. Parking was available in the back of the house. The owner lives on the first floor. To have a good check-in experience, make sure you visit his rental website to reply to check-in questions - replying to emails from that website will not reach him. The owner is not necessarily on the property during check-in hours and needs to know your planned arrival time.

Great place

This property is a great value if you need a place to stay in Poughkeepsie. The host Gary made it really easy for us. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. The kitchen has everything to cook. There is also washer/dryer to do laundry which will save some money. Highly recommended.

Our space was dusty and the floors were really dirty. They desperately needed vacuuming. We left for the day and came back to find a window open in the living room (I'm assuming the host let himself into the space without our knowledge...which left us feeling rather uncomfortable) We didn’t think we had to arrive on our first night at any particular time, we hit traffic called our host a half hour out as he requested, we were almost an hour behind schedule and he said he would consider us a "No Show" if we weren't there in thirty minutes.
