“Booked this hotel through Expedia prior to my trip, when I landed in Colombo I received a text message from a French (+33) number saying that my booking at The Coconut would be cancelled, and that the prices I had booked were no longer valid! “Do not believe the “luxury” marketing — a neglected, freezing, disorganised stay We booked Kottukal Beach House expecting the “luxury boutique villa” experience advertised. What we got was closer to an abandoned property.
