Such a beautiful B&B! The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room, the Eleanor, is lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

This property is not for the disabled or mobility challenged. The stairways are very steep without handrails to hold and are dangerous for mobility. We did not stay as my husband (who is disabled) could not climb the steep stairs to the second level. Even the entry steps at the front of the building have no handrails for stability.

Relax with a bit of tea

The Silver Fountain Inn is a slice of nostalgia with all the comforts of home. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was so polite, kind and helpful. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. If you enjoy a bit of tea this is the place. We were able to enjoy many of the different teas they had to offer. Overall this was an excellent stay.

Relaxing stay

I was thrilled with the Inn. Easy check in with clear directions and comfortable surroundings. I loved my room. The bed was very comfortable and it had all the amenities I could ask for. Cleanliness is one thing I notice and my room and bathroom, as well as the hallways and dining areas met that expectation very well. Without a doubt, I would choose this Inn when traveling or just needing a getaway for a night or two.

Our favorite stay at Silver Fountain Inn

We only have one night in Dover visiting our son. So glad we stayed at Silver Fountain Inn, beautiful place. The inn is located right in Dover, so close to everything in town. Parking lot is right in front of the inn. We were able to check in early. Our room was exactly as described on the site, gorgeous and comfortable. We had a good quiet night, slept in. Enjoyed our delicious breakfast downstairs. Just perfect! This will be our place to stay when we are back in Dover! Thank you Pam for your hospitality!

This historic building seems period furnished (not an expert here) and was very well maintained. The operation is well organized. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast included a few selections for each element. The food was not all prepared to order but was of good quality. there was an fantastic breadth of teas from which to select but be warned that formal tea service (a quest of my spouse) is not available everyday.

The Inn has changed ownership, and it shows. The internet service is very poor. The bed was hard and when we asked for brighter light bulbs for our bed side so we could read, the request was ignored. I asked to see the book that Pam the previous owner wrote about the Inn and enjoyed reading it, but later one of the staff took it away before I had a chance to finish it.

I was upset that I couldn’t get wifi as advertised. It’s very important to my business while on the road. I chose accommodations that ensure wifi. It went in and out during the whole stay. Not good. Everything else was dreamlike and wonderful.

Absolutely loved this bed-and-breakfast. It is a beautiful old Victorian, which is kept very well with a lot of history. It's in a very nice neighborhood in Dover and very walkable. There is always tea and coffee and cookies available and breakfast was served on their porch and it was delicious. I would definitely return to this bed-and-breakfast
